How much CPU RAM? VRAM?

What is your processor speed?

At what setting are you trying to play (low med high ultra), and other graphics setting are you using?

I have 4GB of RAM and My Processor is a Pentium® Dual-Core CPU T4400 that goes at a speed of 2.20GHz also i play at low settings

I am guessing the problem is your hardware. My understanding is that Skyrim on an integrated card is problematic but not always impossible. I would start by

1. Update all your drivers and Direct X. Run basic computer maintenance like file check, defrag, etc.

2. making sure you are not running any background programs or other applications (other than the minimum for security) and then going into the options section of the Skyrim menu, shutting off any of the checked boxed on the "advanced" tab on the options that have to do with shadows or reflectivity. Disable AA and AF. Uncheck FXAA (I think it would be uynchecked by default?) and start from there. Remove all mods. . If you get it running well on the bare bones, you can always add things back one at a time until you find where the game goes beyond it's capacity.

Also,

You can look at various Skyrim pref.ini settings that also can increase fps, try this site Rookienoob's Guide for some ideas (always make a backup of the file first and proceed slowly and with caution. What works for one computer may not for another.)

You can also check out the NVidia's tweak guide-- even though you dont have Geforce chips, the first few pages and the last few pages cover basic interface and .ini file tweaks. Nvidia Guide

Good luck, I find with my lower end computer, maintaining a sense of it being a puzzle instead of a problem really helps.

Your PC is one of the cheapest laptops around, and is certainly not meant for gaming. I'm surprised you can run Skyrim at all.

  • 3 months later...

I Just Got Skyrim and on my computer it lags plus when i look around it jerk frame by frame

Computer-Lenovo G450

Processor-Intel Pentium inside

GraphicsChip-Moble Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Go to SkyrimPrefs.ini

iPresentInterval=1

Change to

iPresentInterval=0

b30GrassVS=1

b30GrassVS=0

Removes most of the grass in game

Thats always on by defualt and no your setup can't handle that at all.

Uncheck the following mods these are on by default as well

Highrestexturepack01.esp

Highrestexturepack02.esp

I'd just delete those if I were you.

Go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\Appdata\local\skyrim <--That should be a hidden file by default you'll have to use show hidden files and folders command as administrator

Look for Pluggins.ini

Open and delete these lines

Highrestexturepack01.esp

Highrestexturepack02.esp

Save

Do not download mods without using a textue optimiser to butcher textures down to 512 or lower.

Also check Nexus for a Texture Replacer Mod like Performance Textures I forget what it's named but there is a mod that makes every texture in game one color.

This texture mod was meant for laptops like yours and you can expect exelent results for your setup. I'd expect that you'd hit like 45 FPS or higher. Your game however will look like old school N64 Mario but you'll be able to play, and with effort mybe DL some gameplay overhauls to make it interesting.
