RAD1976
Is Creation kit works like Skyrim NPC Editor 0.
Sirropoo
Does Creation kit work like Skyrim NPC Editor 0.75 No, CK requires some "training" time in it's use when It comes to affecting your toons looks/attributes.NPC Editor has CK's capabilities "summarized" for you within a few button clicks. CK has capabilities far beyond NPC Editor when it comes to over-all game editing.
David Brasher
Just use the CK. NPC Editor is an obsolete program from the days when there was no CK and there was no alternative but to use NPC Editor. The Dark Face Bug with the CK is not hard to fix. See this page on the wiki: Dark Face Bug.
Perraine
Just use the CK. NPC Editor is an obsolete program from the days when there was no CK and there was no alternative but to use NPC Editor. The Dark Face Bug with the CK is not hard to fix. See this page on the wiki: Dark Face Bug. I have to disagree there ... The NPC editor is a VERY useful tool and is by no means 'obsolete' ... As mentioned above, it's a far, FAR simpler and easier tool for NPC editing and creation than the CK could ever hope to be ... I've also never had the dark face bug with any NPC's I've created with the NPC editor, so it wins in functionality category with that alone ... Of course that's just my opinion and you have yours, but they JUST opinions. BTT: Have you tried PM'ing the mod author? or check the comments section for the download? Sometimes there can be info and solves in there or maybe it's a known issue ...
MightyZ0G
if there is no fix or work-around mentioned in the comments, just go back to using Skyrim Editor 0.67. it's still available to download
m0ckin9bird
Hi everyone! hope any of you can give some tips about this: I create followers on CK with all the options and custumized faces. But for a final retouch i use NPC editor (faces only) as i noticed that the CK render windows not exactly reflects how the character looks ingame later. I also located them with NPC editor, this works perfect for face textures and all. My problem is i want to create a face preset on CK for these characters. I load the NPC plugin saved on NPC editor on CK and it gives me some message of different files and load order, i sayyes to correct this values but later I cannot locate the actor under Actors... Anyone knows if i´m doing something wrong? I usually save the NPC editor plugin with a different name that the original from CK, but dont know if this is affecting. Also I save the plugin without the bsa check. Thanks!
Brandy1123
the 67 version is still available. Use that one for now. I have no issues with it at all. As for the CK, That requires you to connecto to STEAMypile. I don't want anymore of that trash on my system then absolutely necessary. If you feel this tool is obsolete, then don't use it. I find it extremely valuable. Since I will Never use another STEAMypile applet/game/virus, these type of mods are treasures i hold dear to me. If i had the option to remove STEAMypile completely and play Skyrim, it would have been flushed from my house long ago.
