The only significant threat to security on this planet is the current financial ogliarchy and the ones stupid enough to follow it without respect for anything, destorying nature (the rainforest aka your oxygen? anyone need oxygen?) and everything that is good.

Like what already happened to the mayas, the roman empire... you name it.

 

Just these insensible guys.

 

Like the ones that rather use nuclear power with all the strings attached to it, when there is so much useable geothermal energy right now below our feet, that it would last nearly 10.000 years in regions with low volcanic activity without the factor of rewarming counted in. Energy can be clean, safe and cheap. Basicly it is for free once installed.

 

But for that you got to have a clear mind.

On the presumption that you actually believe what you say then I find your statement is naive at best or at least ostrich like at worst. The only reason that we have not had a terrorism incident of significant proportions is due to intensive counter intelligence by us and our more reliable allies. Even with that we have had the following inside the country since 9/11.

I believe I made it clear in my post that this argument belonged in another thread and yet...Syco you immediately go right for a non-topic post to open up another non-related can of worms,

Aurielius--ditto for jumping on that bandwagon and I don't know where you got your "list" but for someone that complains ENDLESSLY about people giving facts to be checked...you give a list with no where to back it up and that makes Marxist's accusation seem like something that could be probable. List where it came from so it can be fact checked or apologize for providing "proof" without a source and remove it. I am not having this one blow up.

Marxist-If you are going to make accusations you better provide backup just like anyone else. Also you need to report things if they bother you that much as you well know. As for your swearing and lovely personal attack...well you know the rules and these are big ones. I will be discussing this one with my cohorts.

So MB was right, the source was from an Islam hate site.

 

There is no real terrorist threat, and the TSA has no reason to be worked up about it. My previous point was because of people like Aurielius freaking out over a false threat. If these people calmed down, I am pretty sure the TSA would also calm down a bit. Not justifying their actions, but I am trying to say it is partly the fault of the people.

 

If terrorists could, they would have been able to do a large attack already. Our northern border is fairly insecure. Our ports are not nearly as secure as our airports. You can get guns and explosives inside of the USA without much issue. Securing airports does nothing, and if you seriously think that there is a terrorist problem you are a threat to the civil liberties of everyone. The way the citizens and the government reacted to 9/11 is a bigger threat to the people of the United States then anything a terrorist could do.

The people at large do not want these polices, and tend to be pretty vocal about it as well. But they still allow it to continue. In that regard, they are to blame.

 

But very few outside of the government are calling for new security measures.

But there are clearly people who do think that there is a serious threat, just based on some comments here. I am not saying it is largely the fault of the people, I am just saying that it would get a bit better if everyone recognized that there was no threat.
