Hey guys! Thanx to all who helped me with that patching problems! I got my 'map tile floor' changed back to normal but now, I have another problem. I get into the game all fiene and everything, and I went through the tutorial all fine aswell but now everytime I try to save, the game automatically crashes just like that! Only Autosaves don't. Now as you can beleive this is quite bothersome

does it crash when you overwrite another save or all the time you save? Are you running OBSE? How many mods are you running and which? Answer these questions and most likely i'll be able to help you.

It crashes only when I quicksave and when I overwrite a save. I am running OBSE and I am running about a hundred mods... I'll tell you tomorrow which... Gotta go sleep now :-)

Before you do anything, BACK UP YOUR SAVES.

The OBSE is your problem, and the mods that use it. Don't worry about telling me which mods you have.

Solution: Remove OBSE or Disable the mods that use OBSE and run Oblivion normally (normal Oblivion Launcher)

I can't guarantee that your player will work well after disabling OBSE. The game might still crash.

So, if it crashes while you are running it through normal Oblivion Launcher, then (DON'T SAVE), enable the mods that you disabled.

Run through OBSE launcher.

Remove ALL the items from your inventory that are from those mods (drop them). Move out of the area, far away.

Save the game (In a new slot).

Close the game, disable the OBSE mods and run the game through the normal Launcher.

If the problem still persists, post here.

I had the same problem before, the game will keep crashing no matter what you do if you are using OBSE. Its very buggy and unstable. I know, you probably had some really good stuff from those mods, but try finding mods that don't use OBSE, there are heaps out there. I dont use OBSE, I've had a lot of bad encounters with it.

P.S. I hope my instructions aren't too confusing.

I think you can supply something to support your affirmations about OBSE being the cause. I run with more than 150 mods, a big deal of then uses OBSE functions. Most of times I have some issue it's related with missing/altered dependencies, cell changes and such. Very, very fewer times were the scripts the problem, and even when so wasn't OBSE itself the guilt, but poorly or bugged script. Remember OBSE have nothing to do with anything that isn't "script".

Even if a poorly designed mod that uses OBSE functions fails one can't blame the utility for this. I hope you supply evidences before demeaning that or any other utility or mod this way. All the community thanks if you does, since this way the problem can be traced and corrected.

Well i had 1 mod that needed the script extender, "CLS Craftybits". I installed OBSE just to use it. My game was running fine before, not a single crash. Guess what happened when i used the OBSE.... It started crashing continuously, i couldn't save and every 10 minutes the game crashed. This is proof enough for me, nothing you can say, will make me use the OBSE EVER AGAIN! Unless someone actually finds the problem an d fixes it, when it will work NORMALLY.

Firefable, I had problems with OBSE v0015 until I dug into the Readme File for it. Here's what I found (I followed it & it worked):

OBSE v0015 Readme installation instructions:

[ Installation ]

1. Copy obse_1_1.dll, obse_1_2.dll, obse_1_2_416.dll, obse_editor_1_0.dll, obse_editor_1_2.dll, and obse_loader.exe to your Oblivion directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder, and should contain files called "Oblivion.exe" and "OblivionLauncher.exe".

2. Run oblivion by running obse_loader.exe from the Oblivion directory.

If you use a desktop shortcut to launch Oblivion normally, just update the shortcut to point to obse_loader.exe instead of oblivion.exe.
