tohadlock
So I'm new to gaming on a PC and am playing FO3 but had a few questions. 1) So when I exit the game to I have to re-enable all the commands that I issued during my previous session?2) I'm sure there's a way to setup a script to run each time I login if the commands are lost upon game exit?3) Are there any pre-built scripts that you recommend?3) My PC is rather old so I was wondering what you recommend to make FO3 run better? (GPU -3D stays at 100% during gaming). CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 840RAM: 16GBMotherboard: MSI 760GM-E51Power Supply: 550w500GB SSDVideo: NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 (1GB) (New on the way: 4GB GTX750ti, not the best but better.) Yeah, I know it is really old and slow but it's what I have for now.
M48A5
To answer in order: 1. No, as long as you make a save before exiting the game. 2. Not needed, see #1. 3. Don't understand what you mean. 4. So is the game, it was published almost 10 years ago when a dual core CPU was the latest thing. There is nothing wrong with your system for running Fallout3. One thing you will have to do is limit your CPU to two cores. Your 16GB of RAM is overkill. The most you can use would be 4GB with the Large Address Aware Enabler for FO3 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/6510 For textures: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12056 There are plenty of texture replacers for armor available in FO3 and FNV. I use a combination from both, depending on what looks the best. FNV texture would require a manual install. For a body replacer, I use BOG HiRez HiDetailed Replacer: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/13241 For faces, I use Mojave Delight https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44312, with the face texture I want manually installed. tohadlock
Hmm... for some reason my the console commands I enter are not saved even though I have done various fast saves and full saves. For instance, my walk speed and carry weight have to be set each time I start the game. Alerios
What are the command you enter ? If it is some "setav" you need to turn them into "modav", be careful, modav is perma'.
