David Brasher
The part of the CK where you record voiced dialog is no longer working like it did in the beginning. I used to be able to use the "Preview" to hear what files sounded like. This was much more convenient then pressing the "Record" button and then going to Windows Explorer and having it open Windows Media Player so that you could listen to the sound and decide whether or not to delete it and record once again. If the preview button is clicked, an error message like this comes up:AUDIO: Unable to open Audio file: Data\Sound|Voice|Temp.wav "Yes to all" will disable all Warning for this context. Has anyone else had this problem, figured out what causes it, or been able to fix it? I completely deleted the CK and re-downloaded and that had no effect. Lumenbeing
I'm not able to preview my audio, nor am I able to get it to actually save to the correct folder (even though it says it is doing so). I'm running the CK as admin, but it makes no difference. Please help. From my experience i'm never able to listen sounds associated to dialogues. JanusForbeare
Are you using a combination of loose .WAV files and loose .FUZ files? Skyrim and the CK can only run one or the other in a single session. If you are using a combination of audio file types, I suggest packaging them into a .BSA, which is easier for the game to read. Confirming what Janus said, you will get the message "AUDIO: Unable to open Audio file: Data\Sound|Voice|Temp.wav" if you have both wav and fuz files in your voice file. steve40
Since the CK first came out I've had this bug on-and-off when trying to play back Sound Descriptor files. Sometimes audio playback works, sometimes it gives that exact same error message. The "fix" was to simply close and restart the CK. I haven't worked with recorded dialogue, but it sounds like the same sort of issue. Also be sure to run the CK as administrator and make sure that the user access permissions on your DATA folder are set to "full control" (propagated to subdirectories) to ensure that there are no file access problems.
