ChAcInA
I thank anyone from the very begining that will be able to help. The more i read about mods and its compatibilities, FO3edit and merged patch, more i find my self lost. There is no "ultimate" topic or forum to solve this kinds of issues.I see A LOT of people running fallout 3 with 30, 50, 85 mod-files thru FOMM, yet here i am trying to instal a few ones...IN THE PAST 6 DAYS!It's always a new crash, new incompatibility, lost the count of how many times i'v uninstalled and installed again the hole game and everything needed to runn it...have seen a bunch of 'load order help' too but still got nothing. Some of them: FOOK2, FWE, MMM, DYNAMIC WEATHER, PROJECT BEAUTY, OWNED, MORE PERKS, DARNIFIED, SPECIAL Level Up, Level Cap Increaser Skill Workaround, Level 100 Cap and PiPBoy Light Mod.That all working? My Dream :( Wish i had someone close to help me thru al this 'headache' job of instaling mod process cause this is very hard :(
eric31415
FOOK2 and FWE aren't going to work well together. Choose one or the other, and the game will be much more stable. Whichever one you choose, make sure to have the correct compatibility patches for MMM and any other mods that require them. If you choose FOOK2, you should also drop Dynamic Weather, F2 contains a weather mod (Fellout) and will likely conflict. Not sure about FWE. To use either FOOK or FWE you are going to have to read the read-me files very thoroughly. By thier very nature they are going to conflict with a lot of different things. Do the homework to know what patches you will need, and you should have no problem. As for your question about needing a merged patch - Some mods will need either a merged patch or a bashed patch to work properly (Weapon Mod Kits, for example). As you already know, merged patches are created with FO3Edit. Bashed patches are made with Wrye Bash. A bashed patch is a good alternative to a merged patch, as it gives you greater control, more options, and i find Wrye Bash to be less fussy than FO3Edit. ChAcInA
Thks for this words.Unfortunately i don't know how to use FO3 very well n much less this Wyre Bash. It's so many 'Readme' that i get my self dizzy every now and then.Guess this 'Modding' thing isn't for beginners after all. What is left for us is to play a 'almost vanilla' Fallout 3 cause the less mod u have less headache and crashes will annoy u. :wallbash: That being said now i got this 'mismatch between face and body' stuf. But that's already in another topic waiting for more advices.Thks a lot man.
M48A5
For help with FO3Edit, go here and download the manual :http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/8629. When you go to use FO3Edit, open the manual and read along as you do the work. That is how I got started. If you work slowly and carefully, you can have a completely customized game and if your equipment can handle the load, up to 255 mods.
