Installing NMC texture packs via mod manager?

Is it possible to download install the NMC texture packs via the mod manager? If so, does anyone know of a good set of instructions to do so? If I use the mod manager, do I have to go through the manual steps to rename, extract with WinRar, and copy the files to the FO3 game directory? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Bump. Looking for the same info. I'm wanting to have Nexus Mod Manager manage my NMC texture pack. I've d/l and extracted NMC onto my desktop (Data Folder is created) and now tryint to figure out how to make Nexus Mod Manager add mod from file to handle the install. I'm going to try to repack the created Data Folder and see if NMM will install the repacked file.

 

I obviously want to easily turn NMC on/off (activate/deactivate) incase I ever decide to stop using it, switch to a larger/smaller version or mix/match with other texture packs, such as POLO.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

You have to follow the installation instructions provided by the mod author. I have just read the instructions and nowhere does it say you can use NMM for installation. You have to follow the installation instructions provided by the mod author. There is no other way to install this mod without following the instructions provided by the mod author.

One of the features that NMM lacks, and sorely needs, is the ability to build a mod from somewhere besides just downloading it. For that reason among many I still use FOMM for all fallout games.

 

FOMM does have the ability, and there is actually another mod Premade Fomod Packs that, if you go ahead and download all the NMC packs, you can build up a full installer that gives you options on how to install it. Once built with FOMM, you could easily install it using NMM.
