Everyone is passive

As of a couple days ago, anyone, or anything, that should be hostile, isn't.

I can walk up to a sabre kitty, wave 'ello, and walk off into the sunlit meadows. :whistling:

I've done a clean save, with none of my current mods installed, and the problem persists. :wallbash:

-Has anyone an idea as to why this is?

@Georgiegril

A clean save will not be enough to disable scripts, especially if you did not completely uninstall the mods. A clean save also may not solve a corrupted save problem.

To totally clear the slate you would need to uninstall Skyrim, including using Delete Local Content and then manually checking to be sure any folders related to skyrim are completely deleted on your hard drive, especially your save files.

That is painful, but it is usually effective.

If you want to try less drastic measures, I would start by visiting all of the mod sites you have had installed, read for any issues like what you are describing, and also for proper uninstall procedures. If you have already uninstalled incorrectly, there may be a fix, or you may have to go to the above solution. Check the game after each uninstall to see if this solves your issue. Once you have all of your mods properly disabled, try running Skyrim again, and see if the animals hate you like they should...then add mods back one by one.

Or you could just learn to love the slaughter of helpless innocents.

Hope this helps.

-Yeah, option # 1 is certainly not something I'm too interested in doing, as it's never a fun, or quick experience to setup the foundation for a fully moddable Skyrim

Option #2, I've done, and not a single complaint on any mod I'm using is in reference to my problem.

Also, I made note of all vanilla files before installing mods, in the case of a situation like this, so I could remove any non-vanilla files, and use steam's "verify integrity" option to replace any modified vanilla files afterward, so it should have been the next-best thing in terms of reinstalling completely.

I've come at the fork in the road, neither path treats the impatient-minded well.

Thanks for taking the time to give a well-written response, and tilting me to the delayed inevitability of having to remove, and reinstall Skyrim.

I have this problem also. I have checked out the console commands, but they mainly show you how to set factions to be friendly and not enemy (again). Tho I am not sure that will work, its an option. If anyone has detected which mod did this it would be great to know. I would rather rip my eye balls out than to reinstall the entire game and start from scratch.

I have an idea that could possibly lead to the benefit of both of us.

If you'd list the mods that you have installed (in a spoiler, as not to elongate the page) I could check and see if you have any of the same mods I have, thus narrowing the list as to which mod (if any) may have caused this for both of us.

Though, this is just a theoretical troubleshoot, I have no actual idea whether it'd be a big help in the long run. :psyduck:

Yes love, I did think of that as well. However I have obtained a fix. It has worked for me. Why don't you give it shot. It might just make that kitten of your's purr!

Using the ~ key type the following: It's the first one that did it for me.

RemoveFromFaction 000E0CD9

or

SetFactionRank 000E0CD9 -2

All the best!

Havoc

P.S. Being that everything is non-hostile to you, You may need to fix everything this way. The above only corrects the attitude of bandits. Which was my problem.

Sounds like a very similar issue to me, except NPC's are hostile but they just stand in one spot weapons drawn : |

very odd. I doubt it is a single mod that is causing these issues. But I still believe that the resolutions will be found in the command console (~).
