Moira As A Companion

So, I just turned up the game difficulty to Hard (I'll probably turn it up to Very Hard) so I can have more than two (Butch + Dogmeat) companions and still feel the game isn't ridiculously easy. So I did and I used the mod Sharing and Caring Companions to recruit Moira. And then I went off to fight a Deathclaw and two Enclave soldiers over at Dukov's Place for a while. The problem is I noticed Moira was FLEEING. I even gave her a Talon Combat Armor and a Laser Rifle (with ammos)! She didn't leave me, though. She just huddled up in a fetal position somewhere until I finish charging fearlessly into battle, even though she had a Laser Rifle strapped to her back. When she's not playing hide and seek with my enemies, she's out in the open doing the unarmed fighting stance although she's practically still doing nothing. I even told her to charge into battle and stuff!

So, does anyone here know of a mod that turns Moira into a real companion? Getting hit my missiles at point blank range while that girl is hugging her knees behind a tree doesn't seem fair, doesn't it? :)

You can still use Sharing and Caring Companions, but use it with T.R.A.S.C.H.

I highly recommend this mod even if you don't play with any custom companions. T.R.A.S.C.H. allows you to change certain attributes on NPCs, including confidence and aggression. Can even change their faction or even open up a barter menu with them.

You're going to want to edit Moira's Confidence using this mod. Confidence is what makes NPCs flee. Moira, not being a real fighter as she says when you're doing her quest, is set to have low confidence, just like a lot of non-combat wastelanders.

Thank you so much! Again :P

Well, personally I'd say get a companion that's scripted from the start to be grrreat. My favourite is Brisa Almodovar. And not just because you actually get XP for her kills like in New Vegas.

Honestly, it's one of the most flexible companions ever. You can teach her any skills, as she levels up, plus she can use skill books, and even use regular books as skill books. So you can use her for stealth sniping (and actually has an ambush option), heavy gunner, melee (she made a fine Sith apprentice when I was into lightsabers:p), medic, etc. She can even repair your stuff, hack terminals for you, cook, and stuff like that. And has a ton of config options, from what to do, to what to wear when.

Also, can spawn her own ammo for any weapon, if you're not into bothering to keep her supplied. And actually uses copies of the equipment you give her, so she won't lose your uniques when they get badly damaged.

Really good. I use her all the time.

And if you don't like her face, hey, it's a simple exercise in TesSnip to give her another. After a bit of plastic surgery and a visit to a hair stylist, she's Sammantha in my Sammantha and Maxine strips, for example.
