Meatloafmountain
Lads (and lasses), like many others, I have been encountering the dreaded FO4 crash in the main menu. I have tried creating an exception in Windows firewall. I have verified the cache in Steam. I have reinstalled the game. I have tried online and offline. It just. Keeps. Crashing. Any other ninja moves I haven't tried?
Fkemman11
Put your mod list and load order in a spoiler. Can't fix what we can't see.
Meatloafmountain
So, it's become an odd issue. If I exit save without any mods loaded, that save works fine. If I try any mods or no mods on a "sleep save", the game crashes.
moolinli
Hi, Fallout 4 crashes on startup is a normal problem. Besides of these things, you done, you may try to do these things: 1. Try to update the graphic driver, you can go to the device manager to see what the graphic driver model you use, and then go to the manufacturer's website to download the latest version of driver and install it manually. 2. Try to uninstall the Third-party antivirus software. 3. You should change the Windows resolution and fallout resolution. 4. Change Fallout 4 settings such as uncheck the Enable God Rays. 5. Run the SFC scannow to fix the system issue. And here is the tutorial with pictures: https://windows10skill.com/fallout-4-crashes-on-startup/ Wish this can help. Undeadbob666
Also is it a CTD or is it just taking a really long time to load? If its taking a really long time to load, this is normal when you have mods activate FO4 is accessing each and every mod when the game starts. However if its a CTD, I would suggest following the advice of moolinli and do this: deactivate all of your mods, then activate one mod and start the game, do this (activating one mod at a time) until your game crashes you have now found the mod causing the conflict.
