Vanguardascendant
Creation Kit won't open for me. I used to be able to work in it without any problems. Details:1) If I open it from Bethesda launcher, it gives me the error about validating game files. I validated them from both the launcher and in steam with no issues. Still won't open.2) If I open it directly from the Fallout folder, it starts to open the screen saying that it's initializing archive, and then just closes without even an error message. 3) I tried uninstalling and reinstalling CK entirely using the Bethesda launcher. 4) I've tried running the CK as administrator and also using compatibility troubleshooting with windows versions. Any help that you can provide is appreciated. I'd really like to get more into modding.
HeyYou
Will the game start, and run reliably? If so, look in your "My Games\fallout?" folder (don't know which fallout you are working with here.) and look for the ck*.ini file, and delete it. Try again. Unfortunately that solution didn't work. I tried deleting both Creationkit.ini and CreationkitPrefs.ini.

Vanguardascendant
Quick update. I was experimenting with removing folders from my /data folder and it looks like I may have fixed it. I had a "Sandbox" folder in data folder that might have been creating the problem. I moved it elsewhere and now CK appears to be opening correctly. Not sure why that was an issue because I historically could open CK with the sandbox folder in there. Thanks for your help with this.
