Pink water/missing texture

I seem to be having difficulty in solving why the water in my game is showing up pink. I've tried uninstalling oblivion, downloading several water mods, went through my archive invalidation.txt, disabled several mods, and did some looking around in my oblivion.ini file. Before the water was pink I couldn't see anything from above but I could see when underwater. When I was looking at my oblivion.ini file I noticed that bUseWaterDepth and busewaterlod were both =0, so I changed them =1. After I restarted the game the water was that pink color. I'm assuming it's a missing texture since when I installed a custom one it appeared and the pink was gone. This is happening everywhere as well, the sewers, IC, lakes, etc.

I cannot see that you did mentioned SkyBSA anywhere as that is the best way to solve any Archive validation or invalidation problems and maybe even purple meshes. (Drake do not yell at me if I got this wrong again)

 

If and when you find the water mesh, load it into Nifskope, click the water surface and check the texture path in the NiTriStrip or NiTriShape section, which ever is in use for it. Open the NiTexturingProperty and Click the purple flower and add the right texture and save.

 

This is often the case when a body part or armor part gets invisible, the path to the texture is incorrect in the actual mesh (x.nif file), which you correct the same way with Nifskope.

Nothing wrong there at all. And I think I don't really yell anyways.

Though it won't fix any purple meshes, as that's physically missing resource files, not invalidation or load priority.

 

But you're responding to a topic from 2012, back when SkyBSA wasn't even thought of. :no:

 

Mysticshadow needs to explain their problem in more detail, as it's most definitely not the same situation on their drive now as ryanra's was back then, almost a decade ago.

You are so right dear Drake. I did not respond to the original message from 2012 as I did reply to Mystic Shadow, and his reply from yesterday 08:18. ;) No you rarely yell at me, just bark, roar and spew fire... ;)

I think SkyBSA was available yesterday though... ;)
