xlcr Posted June 5, 2012 Share Posted June 5, 2012 Whiterun, i prefer warmer wooden architecture to stone, centrally located and initially politically neutral regarding the civil war.Wish it was bigger and more citylike and located adjacent to a navigable river as a harbor/port for shipping trade.Also wish Kahjiit refugees were allowed in. Added a few tree and lighting mods for more atmosphere.Biggest issue is Breezehome, tiny above ground and missing a lot of features unless modded; but, these are usually basement trapdoor additions.Alternatives are Solitude's Proudspire Manor or Markarth's Vlindrel Hall or Windhelm's Hjerim i guess. I DONT KNOW WHO I CHOOSE!!! :wacko: The Rift has a beatiful vegetation and you can be distracted just by the forest and forced give up from your quest just to walk on the roads surrounded by the trees. The Eastmarch has a freezing air that makes your blood freeze, and a hold for true nords without telling about the vegetation that its contains and its there that one of the most beatiful places that exist is located there, the Eldergleam Sanctuary. The Whiterun Hold contain some of the legends of Skyrim like the Battle of two big foes: Olaf one-eye and the dragon Numinex, and is the home of the Companions that are part of the group of Ysgramor, and there, have a beatiful wildlife that you can observe and learn.Its the main hold of Skyrim and have the greatest city,Whiterun.
