Gethesmain
why buy any dlc at all? I'm still playing oblivion, patiently waiting the day that Skyrim GOTY edition inevitably comes out, then patiently waiting for it to be USED for a few dollars. Not only do I get the most for my buck, but by then there will be so many awesome mods, so many patches. Hopefully it will be possible to purchase a copy that doesn't tie me to Steam then. As for the dawnguard mod itself, looks pretty sweet but all I'm interested in is the crossbows. I'm REALLY hoping someone with a little initiative will be making a mod based on Underworld Rise of the Lycans, this seems pretty obvious now given that the vampirelords are a pretty clear rip off of Underworlds (and Kain from Legacy). Yay I'm a cheap bastard and bethesda gets none of my monies.
BCbrad
I'll buy it for the content and some new story/action, but mostly to massacre all vampires.
Georgiegril
I'm still sort of surprised that the OP made the description "Don't want to get burned twice" Assuming that EVERYONE thinks they got burned from Skyrim. I'm sorry, but I DEFINITELY got $60 worth. 500 hours played. Definitely. I agree, I will probably put off buying the DLC until I'm bored of the original and the nearly endless mods....at well over a thousand hours of playing time, when I get bored I play with the CK. I definitely got my moneys worth, don't feel "burned" at all.
tetradite
Hypothetically assuming I had any money to spend..... no, at least not yet, and not at the price it seems likely to release at. I'll be another one waiting for a GOTY/all DLC bundled package, on sale. Even if it means waiting AGES. I could get a full version of an older game for the price of some DLCs. The game itself (even with all my gripes about it) was well worth the spend, but DLCs bought individually at release price are not good value for money in my eyes, when I have access to free mods that can easily extend gameplay by as much or more than a DLC. If I was stuck on a no-mod console version, then I'd probably think differently.
NewAgeAssassin13
I am definitely looking foward to killing vampires. I think that he next DLC should be about the empires upcoming war with the Thalmor.
Relativelybest
I wouldn't say I'm excited - I'm not crazy about vampires, and by that I mean I don't fancy being one or hunting them professionally. And the crossbows are sorta interesting, I guess, but I would much rather they introduce spears. Other than that... I suppose that big castle in the trailer looked cool? I like big castles. So, yeah. I suppose I'd get it if I feel I need more Skyrim plotlines, but nothing about this one is very tempting.
ginnyfizz
I will probably have to buy it for the mod dependencies. Vampires - yawn - why does everything have to be about vampires these days?Crossbows - meh, longbows ftw.
Deleted472477User
I'm not entirely sure yet.. I was hoping for a DLC that expanded upon the Empires upcoming war with the thalmor, not a dlc about something I have no interest in the vanilla game as it is. Vampires are not my forte, suppose thats why I will be killing them when I do get the DLC eventually. This. I've never been a vampire person, so it holds little interest other than the mods that could be cool that will require it. Mind if it turns out really awesome, I'll play it I imagine they're saving the 'best for last' in regards to what we're hoping for DLC wise
StayFrosty05
Yep, I'm looking forward to my Werewolf Dovahkin going toe to toe with the Vamp throngs....and I have always loved crossbows...
Freyrgjurd
I'll check the features first. My interest is in the wars and Thalmor plots. But if there is some kind of news in this area, like the moot, and the reaction of the people to all you have done... well, I'm ok in buying it.
