Oblivion Reloaded causes lag and even missing attacks

Hi everyone, today I installed Oblivion Reloaded, with the sole purpose of controlling the saturation and contrast in the game.

I ended up with a ton of things I didn't like, for example, the fact my weapon was now not shown at all.
so I went into the inis and commented these out. but what I got was lagging in response to mouse clicks.

has anyone encountered this? I like some of the other effects in there but just the saturation and contrast are my main concern.

thanks in advance for helping out.

I don't know if it still has an in-game menu, but it sounds like you have a bunch of effects turned on that you don't want, maybe things like "Sharpness" DOF, etc.
They can all bring your Framerate down really quick

I haven't downloaded the newest one yet, but what I remember doing is going into the Steam\Steamapps\Common\Oblivion\data\OBSE\Plugins folder and loading up
OblivionReloaded.ini (MAKING A BACK UP COPY OF IT), then editing it and making these changes

[Main]
FoV = 90.0
WaterReflectionMapSize = 512
WaterManagement = 1
AnisotropicFilter = 8
FarPlaneDistance = 283840.0
ScreenshotPath = \Screenshots
ScreenshotType = 1
ScreenshotKey = 87
FPSOverlay = 0
ShaderModel3 = 1
NVIDIAPatch = 1
RendererBoost = 0
CustomEffects = 0
FrameRate = 1
SaveSettings = 0
CombatMode = 1
CameraMode = 1
EquipmentMode = 0
SleepingMode = 1
GrassMode = 1

And these

[shaders]
EnableWater = 1
EnableGrass = 0
EnablePrecipitations = 1
EnableHDR = 1
EnablePOM = 1
EnableSkin = 0
EnableTerrain = 1
EnableBlood = 0
EnableShadows = 1
EnableNightEye = 0

[Effects]
EnableUnderwater = 1
EnableWaterLens = 1
EnableGodRays = 1
EnableDepthOfField = 0
EnableAmbientOcclusion = 0
EnableColoring = 0
EnableCinema = 0
EnableBloom = 0
EnableSnowAccumulation = 0
EnableBloodLens = 0
EnableMotionBlur = 0
EnableLowHF = 1
EnableWetWorld = 0
EnableSharpening = 0
EnableSMAA = 0

Now, I guess you'd want to set "Enable Coloring" to 1

Changing the 1 and 0 after each of these effects turns them on or off in your game.
If you don't want Depth of Field then leave the 0 as 0, but if you want it turned on, change the 0 to 1 etc. same with the rest of the effects

The CombatMode setting is what I think is hiding your weapon

For me, then things I set to 0 all affected my framerate negatively because my current system can't keep up with some of those effects

hey, thanks for the quick reply, I was not clear enough, it's not an fps drop. everything works smoothly but it just ignores or delays my attacks and enemies can attack me in that time normally.
