nosisab
I need some help with the mod but not too sure how to install the mod is there a program that is supposed to be done with it?omod is a format (indeed tis just a 7z compacted file) to be used with the OBMM utility. It automatizes the install, can point incompatibilities and have several other nice features, mainly allowing easy load order changes and archive invalidation option. OBMM uses .net framework v2 so be sure having it. omod must be the preferred way to install whenever possible (I for myself make omod of mods that have subfolders and aren't OBMM aware before installing since is easier to uninstall if needed)
bben46
First, the OBMM is not a mod. It is a utility program intended for use with Oblivion. It does not install like a mod or in the same place as the mods. You MUST read the install instructions to understand how to install OBMM and how to install and make OMOD files work. Then, you must start OBMM before starting Oblivion - there is a built in Oblivion Launcher inside of OBMM- again read the instructions on how to use it or it might not work. An OMOD is a different way of packaging a mod. instead of an esp that is put in the data folder and meshes in the data\meshes folder and so on, each mod is put into a special OBMM folder that keeps each mod separated better than the standard way. Some people like it and some don't. Try it before you make up your mind.
