Am I the only one that:

Fell in love with Azura in Morrrowind, only to find in Oblivion after this mighty Goddess stood against the whole of the bloody BS tribunal and the Nine, corrupt priests, all at once to save Morrowind, and proved just how mighty of a Goddess she was how much she abhorred injustice..

Am I the only one, that found great pleasure after striking that bleedin' heart 3 times and killing the one responsible for that bloody blight..Am I the only one that As soon as Azura acknowledge your task and released you, that you went immediately and with great pleasure posthaste and walked up those steps and killed Vivec, with the same tools he gave you..and felt vindicated doing it..

I found great pleasure being Dark Elf and wish someone would create a mod for Oblivion, where we go back and take back Morrowind from the feckin' Empire ..or is this just the Irish in me..that hates the Empire and all its stands for and wants to at least see a Dark Elf uprising mod. and Dark Elf assassins that take out the entire control of Imperial legion and take over Tamerial mod...and that all the Imperial guards would be replaced, by all races, for rule under the Dark Elves all races would be free..

I wonder this day the reason this bothers me, that I started a stupid yet meaniful to me thread that most likey will be ignored..

Am I the only one who wished that Oblivion did not reduce as mankind tends to and Oblivion was obviously built by men..That always reduce the strongest of Goddesses to just a mere Deadric amoungts many, with a paltry shrine and more paltry quest..Instaed of a beautiful shrine by the ocean befitting of one that freed Morrowind from the blight..A shrine like in Morrowind, huge and as beautiful as She..

I challange any moder, who loved Morrowind to this task, to bring back our Azura as we knew Her there, not as a weak, non important Deadric princess..

I have Photoshopppe skills, but the CS is just not my thing, to make such new shrine to Azura by the sea, ontop of a hill..with a quest befitting Her..

I also wonder if anyone but me cares about such a seemly insignificant yet significant thread, for its ramifications for every womon on this forum, who stands with Azura being brought back to her rightful power...I wonder if anyone will not just read and ignore..But boldly post in the name of the Wisest and most Beautiful of all the Deadric gods..and protest what Oblivion made of her, and reduced Her to.. if just for the sake of having ones say..and all you who think this thread daft, to hell with ye..

I still challenge any Morrowind lovers.. modders out there to do this.. restore our Azura and give her a quest befitting her, and make her a glorious shrine by the sea....

Thats all I felt a need to say this today, and hope maybe someone cares, about such a seemingly insignificant significant thing.

Well, I haven't played Morrowind. And however much I might like Azura, I don't get that passionate about her.

But I do passionately hate the Empire. I've often toyed with the idea of making a "bring down the Empire" mod. It would be like a guild quest, with assassinations, thefts, safehouses, intrigue, alliances, and lots of grinding as you kill legionaires. But its just a vague idea for me at present.

I have to confess that i didnt finish Morrowind, nor did i finish Oblivion, yet. As a matter of fact, i could count the number of pc games ive finished on the fingers of my index finger.

As to Goddess worship, in general,...well, ever since Maggie Thatcher started showing up as Britannia, ive been a wee bit wary of Goddesses. Though, I fully concede that sexism still plays a big role in game design...if thats the term for it- game design. Am playing Conan at the mo, and most what are called 'emotes' , or ready made animations for your toon which one can select, are pathetically 'weak and powerless girlie' actions. Doesnt detract from the way one plays, though.

Sorry if this is not on topic, A. Am barely on topic myself at the mo. V. good that you can be so passionate about this, though. Hope someone meets your challenge!

womon

Is that some sort of chinese noodle?

Anyway, no. I don't get emotionally attatched to games. That's just me, though

Its not an emotional attachment, its a vindication mod..and I get passionate about me vindication at times , especially in the mood I am in...and womon , let me check you profile ah your to young to know that one..Its the liberated womons way of spelling woman, as womyn plural is women.

And Chesto, though I thank you for at least posting in this thread..for me.. I'll will have your ould Brit arse in a sling, for not taking up the challange with a liitle more of your wit and depth ;)

Its not about Goddesses per se, its about this virtual game we are playing , and that Azura deserved to be dealt a better hand in Oblivion than she got.. with a half arsed quest that she got..and the Dark Elves do need to take up arms and oust the bloody Empire once at for all..not even a liitle nibble there you must be tired me ould Brit jousting mate, so off to bed with you..when you wake up maybe it will make more sense..

Aeryn, if you posted this idea in the "Oblivion - File Requests/Suggestions" Forum, a mod author might read it and get excited about making it for you.

Posted there once basically got ignored..wanted to see if there was any response of like interest I might pursue that..Like I read of people not liking Azura, and that her quest was uninspiring and dumb, and I wondered if any of these people realised, that Azura was more than just a paltry Deadra with paltry quest, but a Deadric goddess that stood up against the whole of the corruption,in Morrowind and had been reduced to such a state..

That Bethesda had done Morrowind followers a great injustice, by bringing forth Morrowind history but the very centre of the whole Morrowind main guest..Azura..and Tribunal..was left in the dust..

That Dark Elves coming here from Morrowind surely would have made sure there was shrine befitting Her..To remind the Imperial legion, that they should stay on their toes..or who knows what champion She may arises next to eliminate the Imperial pigs injustice.

If i got here, in this thread enough responses then I thought I'd go there.. say you know a bunch of us were talking, instead of one voice that tends to get unheard there...I thought about it, but I hate posting ideas, and have them go ignored, or worse laughed at..

Thanks for posting though Varus..btw thanks again for the tip..

Well, I haven't ever played Morrowind yet, I just found Oblivion thanks to the urging of a friend..

As I played Oblivion, my character as a person adopted the Roman-Christian flavored Gods which is very unlike myself. And while at first it I was feeling a little uncomfortable about it, I ended up seeing that's just her, and the appeal is the version of righteous nobility that such a version of reality imbues.

One of my favorite books is "The Mists of Avalon", MZB, if you've read it than you will understand how I feel about old Goddesses, well crude and more concerned with the ends than the means, but more honest and real in a messy world. (You know the author had read the entire Golden Bough while still in high school and the book is nicely authentic.)

Sorry to ramble. I'd play it.

Aeryn, I did not find the Daedric Shrine Quest for Azura to be dumb or uninspiring. In reality, I was impressed that she thought well enough of her brave followers that she asked for a champion brave enough to face several vampires.

She also showed her vulnerable side - that she is powerless to reverse vampire disease. Apparently she could not convert the potion cure + Cure Disease spell into a fully magic cure.

And a lot of people posting on the Bethesda Forum say Azura's Star is their favorite Daedric Artifact.

Oh, I know what stopped Azura. She's not allowed to handle "Quest Items". ;D

I'd play it too- I played Morrowind for years- never finished the main quest, was having too much fun with mods - making the world space "MY" world  , but I'vw wondered how the daedra could be so diminished here in Obvilion. I'd play a quest mod to go back and retake Morrowind! Or even a quest slanted toward being a devotee of Azura.... I have no CS skills, though. I could perhaps begin a strory line, but that is all, I'm afraid.
