sopmac45
Got a question : recently I built a new computer and I re-started Skyrim ( I did not transfer all my C: from my previou SSD ... ) ... I am showing saved games from a previou game in the Save Games section of Vortex. I do not know if Vortex has something to play in all this but that is the issue. Is there anyway that Vortex clean / clear / delete saved games from previouses play through once you start a new game or is it Steam or something else ? I can post a screen shot if needed. Thanks, :geek:
gromulos
if you transferred anything from your documents folder, then that is why the saved games are still showing up. You have to go into your documents folder /games /skyrim /saves and delete the saves if you did
UrizenDe
Another possibility is that saves were stored on the Steam cloud. Make sure that that is disabled if you don´t like it.
gromulos
that should be disabled at all times for all fallout and skyrim games, if not Cloud will go back and restore any INI's you have edited and thereby break your game
sopmac45
Well, first of all, thanks for the reply. My Steam Cloud is enabled and in relation to deleting from My Games/Skyrim/Saves ... that is part of my process anytime I restart a new game from scratch. I also delete everything from Vortex/SkyrimSE/ and also from Steam/Steamapps/Coomon/SkyrimSE .... so I am not missing anything and after of all that, I just type in my search, looking for any Skyrim remaining and there are none. At that point is when I start a new game ( after restarting my computer ). So it looks like Steam Cloud is the source. Question is, will those saved games screw up with my current game ? Don't think so but what do you guys think ? Thanks.
gromulos
it's not just the saved games, if you edit any INI's Cloud will restore them, so let's say you were using a custom INI ( perks.ini - in the plugins folder ) Cloud would go back and undo your edits
