gromulos
You don't get it, use WRYE BASH NOW the sooner the bashed patch and Wrye's routines are applied to your load order the less problems you have during your entire play through Wrye is not something to use WHEN you have a problem, it is something you use BEFORE you even make your character so that as you are playing you will have far LESS problems In my personal opinion, playing any fallout game from 3 and later, ( except fallout shelter lol ) or any skyrim game is like trying to drive a car without any gas in it to be blunt about it, had you used Wrye before you started playing your character, you probably would not have had that crash, I use wrye's bashed patch on FO4 since the very first time i played it and I have NEVER crashed on any workshop or in Sanctuary. In fact the only crashes I ever did have was when playing FROST and that's because it had just been released and bugs "were to be expected" - straight from the author
sopmac45
@ OP .... what everybody advised you is on point, especially gromulos. I have to add that WOTC ( War of the Commonwealth ) is a mod that will cause CTD very often and it has been advised by the mod author in his mod description, did you read that ? Read, read, read and read before installing a mod. You must read not just the mod description, but posts ... this is very important because in that section you will find out what other players have found by playing with that mod and it will give you a very good sense of what to expect. If you read in that section that is causing a lot of CTD, then I would not install that mod. Period. You are playing with a lot of mods that I have never tried and I will never try by the way. Make sure that you know what you are installing in your load order. There are things that you can get via console command that mods provide, so you do not need them unless you want to but if I can get something via console command, why should I install a mod that will provide me with the same thing ? One less mod in your load order is less stress for your rig. Think about it. And in relation to Scrap Everything, I thought the same thing, that should be on the bottom. Well, for your surprise, I am using Vortex ( I used before NMM during 2 years ) and I am sorting my load order via Vortex not LOOT ( because LOOT is integrated into Vortex anyway ) and Scrap Everything is not being placed on the bottom of my list and I have not had any trouble at all with that mod. My other recommendation to you is to start using Vortex which is more solid and easier to use than NMM. Vortex will sort your load order in a blink of an eye and make your game more stable than before, I said it based on my experience and comparing both mod programs. However, if you decide to go with Vortex, I would recommend to wipe out your game from your PC ( completely ) and delete NMM. Make sure that everything is erased. Install Vortex and start a fresh game installing as gromulos said. This way you will get not only familiar with this excellent program but you will test your mods. Before installing Vortex, read everything about it in the proper Nexus section. I would recommend not to IMPORT from NMM but to wipe out everything first and install your mods one by one. Yes, I know it is a pain in your butt but I think that you would benefit more than if you just import from NMM. Things may go south and you will get frustrated. After you install your mods in Vortex, make sure that you clean all your master files via Xedit following Steam recommendations for it. You can also watch some Gopher's videos about Vortex that will teach you a lot of very important stuff you should know about it.
