tcbflash
Not sure if I'm posting this in the appropriate forum, I've never used this before... but anyways, just a simple question... I recently started using the "bethini" mod, and it works great, for the first time ever on my dell laptop I am playing with the graphics all the way up (instead of all the way down!) and game is running smoother than ever! Yay! But the one thing I don't understand is that every time I fire up my game, or right before I do I should say, I open the little bethini program, and I notice that all the settings are back to default (even though I have always hit "save and exit" the previous time), so every time I have to select the settings I want... then I hit save/exit, and the settings DO take effect just fine... but why do I then have to repeat this process every time before I play? In short, why doesn't "save and exit" mean SAVE and exit? What am I doing wrong?
QuagaarWarrior
When you click save and exit Bethini updates the ini files in your My Documents folder. If you are happy with the changes you have made there is no need to run Bethini again. If you want to check that the changes have been made simply open one of your ini files. Most obviously the sections will now be in alphabetical order. The only thing to be aware of is if you are using MO2. MO2 creates ini files for each profile you are using. If you want the changes from Bethini you may have to copy and paste the files from your My Documents folder to the specific profile folder in MO2. TonyOQuinn
I think BethINI initially loads the current game configuration, and then overloads it with the selected presets. If this is true, it's annoying the second time you launch bethini after you finished tweaking everything just so. You could just copy your game's config over to bethini's preset to make it behave the way you think it should.I'd like to have an option to disable that behavior, a checkbox to stop loading presets and only show my configs in the Bethini gui.
