  1. I'm normally not one for changes, but this looks much improved overall, nice work! ~dan
  2. Yeah if you buy from GOG and just download the offline backup version, you just install it wherever you want on your computer and can launch the game directly with no other application required, it's SO SUPERIOR to the Steam system of doing things, i am just baffled why anyone would even opt for steam at all, let alone the majority... maybe people just are unaware. (shrug)
  3. So, here we go again with Steam forcing updates on everyone's game and breaking everything. Here's what I don't get, I see so many super smart tech savvy, mod expert, geniuses on here, truly, it's amazing how creative and intelligent the best of the best are, on here, and, in every other area of troubleshooting they unfailingly create or explain the most logical and efficient solutions to help the rest of us out... except in THIS area... the whole "steam update breaking everything" issue... i don't understand why the most simple and obvious solution is virtually never mentioned, which is, just get the GOG version! Gog simply sells games that the customer then ACTUALLY OWNS and has on their machine, free of dependancy on any middleman application to launch, and NEVER any forced updates! Why is this not the OBVIOUS solution??? Like, seriously, what am I missing? ~dan
  4. Well it was a great idea, but no luck... i visited 2 of the trouble spots... clicked all around the area with MIC... nothing but vanilla hits... no acticators, just rock, grass, dirt, etc... all from Skyrim.esm Such a strange thing... I'm baffled. I did already test on new playthrough as well, so it's not corrupted save. I just have no clue what it could be. On the bright side, other than this single mysterious bug, my game is virtually perfect stability-wise, with quite a heavy load, so worse case scenario, if this is never solved, im counting my blessings. (Thank you again for taking the time!) ~dan
  5. Ah! I actually already have More Informative Console, and I will try that! THANK YOU! Will report back if any success... ~dan
  6. Hello all, I am playing Skyrim anniversary edition, with probably 300 to 500 mods all told, everything is running great except for one very strange glitch that's been occurring, my character UNsneaks in certain specific spots. Meaning, I'm in sneak mode, creeping along, and suddenly it's as if I toggled sneak off but I did not hit the button. I can go right back into sneak no problem, but if I go over that same spot once again it will toggle the sneak back off in the same spot, it's repeatable, and consistent. There seems to be at least several, but for all I know hundreds, of these specific spots. Just one example is a couple feet in front of the door to halted stream camp mine, on the exterior. That's just one spot, but I've encountered several others, so I can only imagine there are many many more. I can't find anything online where anyone else has ever had this specific issue. Does anyone have any idea what could possibly cause this to happen? I appreciate and thank you for any feedback in advance! ~dan (tcbflash)
  7. Amen and welcome and thank you! FUS ROH DAH!!! :-)
  8. Any modding experts that can help with this?... i have a self-imposed rule that weapons and HEAVY armor can only be tempered to "epic" at most, and LIGHT armor only to "fine" at most. My question is, can this be done in xedit somehow, so i wont have to police myself anymore? Im decent with xedit, but cant seem to find where to zero in on these settings. Thanks in advance.
  9. since I didn't even discover the modding scene until maybe a year ago, I don't even understand what this is all about, but I will say that after reading this I searched for this gamefront site just out of curiosity, and landed at a site that appears to be some sort of false version, a third party, pretending to be gamefront... looks like the REAL site is gamefront.com.... while the imitator is gamefront.online (.blahblahblah…) Hopefully I didn't get duped into getting this backwards, but that's what it looks like to me at first glance... just thought I'd share...
  10. That goes right along with my own intuition... so I will roll with that hypothesis unless/until proven wrong... If nothing else, it gives me some comfort to hear someone else say what I was thinking/hoping... lol. and yes, I am backing up too :-) THANK YOU Mosstronaut!
  11. So, I've gotten to the point that I am afraid to make ANY changes to my game mid-character anymore, I won't add/subtract any mods, which is probably pretty standard I guess, but I've always had a habit of finding little things in the game where I want to make a tweak here or there... I rarely make it through a whole session without jotting down a note of something I need to correct/tweak/adjust/etc... So... what I've taken to doing is going ahead into Xedit after a session, and making the tweaks, but making them on a completely new plugin, and then not activating the plugin... just saving it for whenever I eventually start over... at which point I will port all these changes onto various existing plugins I already have. The problem though, is that then I may run into the exact same "item" (for instance), that needs it's unbalanced damage rating fixed or what have you, and I can't remember whether I've already addressed this on my "plugin-in-waiting" if you will... so I was thinking of just putting a little notation next to the item name, like, "pending..." or whatever (on the current ACTIVE plugin version)… but then aren't I just violating my own rule of "not making ANY changes during a current playthrough"? So, in sum, my question for any Xedit experts out there... Are there certain types of changes that are for sure SAFE, regardless of being mid-playthrough? Like, specifically, merely adding a word to the NAME of an item (my "pending" notation)? Would it be safe to assume that I can do this without causing any corruption? Thank you in advance to anyone who can offer insight in this area for me!!! ~tcbflash~
  12. Anyone know how to add a cooldown time, or a "once a day" aspect, like the "battle cry" power has, for something... specifically, for the "Horse Call" (where you blow the horn and your horse magically teleports to you) from the mod "Convenient Horses"? It's a great mod, but this particular power, with unlimited usage, is a little TOO "convenient". (I use SSEEDIT.)
