I don't realy think that you need cute's unit permision for doing something from scratch, besides, people've been trying to contact her for AGES. I know that that's not a valid argument.... but meh. Serriously you do not need someone's permission to create something yourself.

However, If you're confident enough to consider working on something as .... complex as the holy cute blade - would you consider to work on the DCmod team as a modeler? You know, for warmup :P.

As to your first question - please do, every modder counts. Just look at the suggestions forum, it's a cemetery of unfulfilled requests.

I have to agree with what's been said, if you are creating something from scratch, you do not need permission but if you got the inspiration from her (obviously), then a line in the credits section would be appropriate.

I actually got a very quick reply from her on one of her

not too long ago. But from what I've noticed in the comments, she won't reply unless she has something to say.

But regarding the "coming back" question, how were you ever able to stop? I'd like to know your secret. ;)

well LHammonds its sorta like what jq is going through i made a mod that used some shivering isles clothing without requiring the DLC file and 17 people accused me of crossing the copyright line :P but i used different meshes with the clothing

and as for my work eh.. eeeerrrmmmm... its deleted :'( i got really mad when people accused me of that... then later on tried to join back but was banned from the modding site (no it was not nexus it was planet oblivion i think? i dont know it was in russian or deutch.)

now im going to try this again and not mod DLC's :D

oh and those of you who never heard of me (which i kinda figured you wouldnt. unless you could read russian or deutch) i mostly do mods from scratch. the best work in texturing ive done was a retexture of the kotn crusader gear (wasnt one of my greater mods.. well in my opinion). half the stuff i do i usually post it as a modders resource, and my best work ever was probably my holy army of God mod (lets you summon an army of angels, and there was a quest from what i remember, and adds a new dungeon)

EDIT: oh and LHammonds thanks for the advice on the holy cuteblade i havent modded anything for a while so i sort of forgot about doing all this :whoops:

As a gamer I consider modders to be a precious resource so imo if you want to mod & you have the skill it takes go ahead but be respectful about it. Both to the other modders and to the people who depend on you in real life.

Everything in moderation

While Quests are in higher demand, they're more-or-less one-time experiences, and the difficulty of making a good story and melding them with Vanilla Oblivion without making them stand out too much is not to be underestimated. You should mod whatever you want to mod, if you do start modding again.

I have a request, if you're looking for one to do.

I would love to see the daedra lords coming out of the Oblivion gates

on horseback (or at least the leading deadra on some/one) with daedric

horses in deadric armor that are attacking the PC as well.

Is this something that is possible? I know very little about modding.

Thank you.
