Having troubles with body slide and not sure where to go from here. i'd like it to work but if it doesn't i'd like help on how to clean up the trouble and be able to continue on from where i left off so to say.

So the trouble is that i've got all the things installed. Got the body changed in game. The issue lies here. The body is now stretched across the entire world. I'm not sure where i went wrong. If i had better internet i'd simply uninstall and reinstall everything but my internet is potato level. So i'd like to ask if anyone has advice they can give me. Or perhaps someone knows the exact solution to this. anyways. Help i don't know where to even begin with fixing this.

Please and Thank You.

If i need to include more info to get better advice please let me know what i should provide as i said i don't even know where to begin so i don't know what should be provided.

Update:

i've moved from the character being stretched across the entire world to it just being deformed.

Update 2: added pictures of the issues now.

Update 3: Links to what i used.

I can't help you much with bodyslide. That's more of a FO4 thing and was only recently ported to FNV, and doesn't have a huge number of users here.

The one thing I can tell you is that you have some sort of mismatch between the body type that is installed and the human skeleton (aka armature) that is installed. This is a fairly common problem with body replacers.

i didn't fix the issue entirely but i feel like i'm moving the right way thanks to you. my character is now only deformed instead of stretched across the entire world haha. so thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

In the CBBE instructions it says to add the following to

your [Archive]

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

Check your Fallout ini to see: that is If you updated it to these your self, this one might already exist: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\

Add it like that if it doesn't exist.

If it does don't change it and don't add the CBBE one. Your INI only needs the one.

If you didn't add them then put bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 and change it to = 1. Keep your Fallout ini on the desktop, or minimized.

If you installed them in Fallout INI before just set bInvalidate to 0 (zero), Save. Then, cold restart the game, in Game do a save, and quit.

Now change the Fallout ini to bInvalidateOlderFiles=1.

Cold restart the game, in Game do a save, and quit, restart the game, with the latest Save and see if it helped.

okay. i did what you said. since it was already set to 1. nothing changed as far as i can tell.

[Archive]
SInvalidationFile=ArchiveInvalidation.txt
iRetainFilenameOffsetTable=1
iRetainFilenameStringTable=1
iRetainDirectoryStringTable=1
bCheckRuntimeCollisions=0
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
bUseArchives=1
that's what it looks like. something there that shouldn't be there?

Your mods load order may be the problem. The latest version of the mod organizer called LOOT may help.

I removed sResourceDataDirsFinal= from my ini too.

I tried to get the body slide adjusting software, latest version 4.4.2 so I could help, and found the page the link goes to is no longer is there.

i have updated my information. hopefully if you're still interested in helping this helps you to help me haha... as a side note i'm new to this whole modding business so...i've probably made a mistake somewhere thinking it was supposed to go this way and any veteran modder would be like...haha....wow that's bad....anyways i digress. if you spot anything be sure to tell me what i've screwed up royally. thank you again.
