Deleted59093361User
Just started learning how to mod Skyrim SE. I managed to install one texture mod, but that did not require anything. All the other mods here have huge lists of requirements, and one in those lists again have it's own requirements... How is this system working and how to keep control over everything?! Jeir
You'll find that the majority of the mods here are standalone, or at most require one or two other mods/files.When you click on 'Requirements' in the mod description, you'll see that the very first line is Mods that require this file. Many people seem to miss that line.
WastelandAssassin
you are absolutely wrong , and this is simply due to not reading these lists correctly (don't worry though , it's an extremely common mistake that users make) the requirements drop down menu contains up to 4 sections (not all will appear for each mod , it depends on the mod itself)- DLC requirements- off site requirements (like script extenders or the ENB framework)- Nexus requirements (which are the mods you actually need to download in order for the mod to work)- mod that require this mod to work (this is basically a list of every single mod that has this mod in their requirements list) the huge lists you see are usually the last kind . and as such these aren't needed at allmost mods don't require more than a few mods at mostjust look at the list and be sure you recognize the sections correctly , to avoid confusions regarding actual requirements
Deleted59093361User
I don't see the four sections in the drop down menu. Only "mods requiring this file".

WastelandAssassin
as I mentioned , not all mods will have all of theseif a mod requires the DLCs , you would see that section , but mods that don't require any DLC will obviously not have that sectionsame with off site requirements and on site requirements . if there are none , that section won't be there and if all you see is mods requiring this file , that means that you don't need to do anythingas Jeir and myself have stated , this section is for other mods that require this mod to work . so you don't have to download those mods at all
WastelandAssassin
I can't think of a mod that has all 4 sections , I'll have to look through a lot of mods to try and find onebut an example of 3 of the 4 , look here https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2228this doesn't have offsite requirements in the list , but has the 3 other sectionshope this example will help clarify it
M48A5
What is the logic behind having the fourth section since it is confusing to novice modders? If the mod requires another to work and that requirement is on the mod page, that should be sufficient. Why waste space and resources for a confusing list? It's really complicated for me atm.
