Gyiul Posted June 14, 2012 Share Posted June 14, 2012 Well I actually noticed that other games are getting more lax on nudity but why is Bethesda still scared of adding them? Well I see that Daggerfall had nudity before why not recent releases of Elder Scrolls especially if nudity is used appropriately (especially enemies like Lamias, Medusas, Daedra Seducers, Nymphs, etc which will apparently never see in a future Elder Scrolls game and I doubt modders have the ability to create new enemies like that)? Pornographic games are available, but they are a very small niche market not up to the big budget productions of Bethesda. Plus when you consider that Bethesda is switching to multiplayer games you compound the issue. Just not going to happen. The bottom line is, children play these games too. And they shouldn't, considering it's Rated M, so that excuse is irrelevant. But I agree that it's completely unnecessary, if they added nudity, we would have to make clothing mods for the people who don't wanna stare at a bandit's dick every time we loot a body because some people want nudity for 'realism'. Rabbit I have no idea what kind of society you live in, but let's not equate nudity with pornography, it isn't the same thing at all. IDK, but there seems to be an upsurge of moral outrage and New Puritanism at the moment that really has me concerned. And as for putting "realism" in quote marks, InuyashaFE, don't we all have a naked body under our clothes? To be honest I would rather leave the nudity to the modders, as they make a better job of it. Matth85 Posted June 14, 2012 Share Posted June 14, 2012 As of now the games get rated M, which is acceptable by most stores.Add nudity and it gets rating AO, which a good deal stores will not sell it. The same reason it doesn't sell other nudity games. I.E. Loss of profit. If they did it they would not gain anything, and they would lose. We got mods for that. I think you'll find that I DID say leave it to the modders. But what makes you think that those of us who use nude mods are necessarily doing it so we can spend all our time looking at genitalia or whatever?
