Oz0n3
Hello, I recently started a new playthrough of Fallout 3 and have run into a problem. When I first arrived at the entrance to Megaton there are 2 Frenzied Ghouls that are absolutely annihilating me within seconds of seeing me. I cannot target either of them with VATS, although I am able to target all other NPC's/creatures, friendly or otherwise. Although I'm only Level 2 I have a very overpowered weapon (HK416) but it does very little damage to these Frenzied Ghouls. I suspect that these Frenzied Ghouls were added by a mod but I can't seem to find any information about which mod added them. I did have A World Of Pain installed initially, after running into the problem I uninstalled AWOP but they were still there so I started a new playthrough without AWOP installed. The 2 ghouls weren't at the entrance this time so thought I'd solved it, now after leaving Megaton I find these two mofos waiting for me and again get annihilated. If I remember from previous playthroughs I'm pretty sure some regular ghouls are meant to show up outside Megaton at night, seems that somehow the regular ghouls have been overwritten with these Frenzied Ghouls on buffout. psycho and jet. I've tried removing any mod that I thought might modify enemies in anyway but the buggers keep showing up to ruin my evening. I'm just not sure how to get rid of them short of a fresh install and start modding again from scratch. Any advice would be appreciated. Below is my mod load order. I'm playing the GOG GOTY version. TheRealNachoNinjaGnome
Have you tried targeting them with the console and using the "kill" command?

M48A5
I can't recall ever having the same problem you are having and really can't give you any advice. However, your WMK plugins are out of order. They should be in the same order as the game DLCs, with WMK being first. followed by the WMK DLC plugins. I've been using LOOT to sort plugins and just assumed it's right. Hadn't caused me any problems yet but I've re-sorted it as per your advice. Thanks! Oz0n3
Good idea, I'll try it. Thanks np... hope it all works out for you That worked like a charm. They bugged out crazily at first in typical Bethesda fashion, it was hilarious. They had holy water and a note on them about Church of Atom in Springvale I think. Hope I don't run into anymore as they were stupidly OP and I'd hate to have to kill them via console commands every time (muh immersion)... At least I can continue playing now, thanks again! LOOT does not now nor has it ever sorted FO3 mods correctly. The quickest way to a completely unplayable game is to rely on LOOT to sort your load order. blackrat99
It's not AWOP, all enemies from that mod are in interiors. The ghouls are from Megaton Player House Revived, there's something about it in the comments https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21444?tab=posts.
