LarkyMauler
I love the idea of groups but I'm a little confused as to how the visual interface works, especially with the default loot groups. What I want to do is assign all my mods groups based on https://bethesda.net/community/topic/5795/how-to-load-orderWhat's the best way to order these groups on the group chart? Would something like this work where I have my custom groups parallel but not connected to the defaults?
LarkyMauler
Alright so what I ended up doing is just ignoring the default LOOT groups completely, and adding my own groups after them. Then I just reassigned the mods within those defaults. I'm not sure it's an ideal solution but it's working well. I have to say I actually really like this method of assigning load order it's much faster and easier than drag and dropping every individual mod and I can use LOOT without being afraid of accidentally clicking apply and losing 2 hours work. Tannin42
This system is not designed for users to enforce a completely different order. While this may work, please don't expect any help if it doesn't. The loot default groups are individually assigned based on investigation of individual mods and only selectively assigned as necessary. You're basically throwing away years worth of knowledge built up by some of the most experienced community members so you can apply blunt, overly generic groups. You're not doing yourself a favour... It has been advised by you that we only need to put patches in the Dynamic Patching Group and leave everything else alone. There may be sometimes that another group could be created by the user and add it to the tree but trying to change the entire logic of the groups is just simply unnecessary and insane.
