TheRealNachoNinjaGnome
(re-posted from FO3 forum)Howdy, I have an old, unfinished, mod that I can't seem to open any more. I've downloaded and run the Fallout 3 G.E.C.K. 1.5 update, which is the highest version that I know of, but still can't open this old mod. Is there a higher update somewhere other than geck.bethsoft.com ? Or is the update just not functioning properly? All of my other mods load into the game just fine, so I would think that my G.E.C.K. is up to date. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, -NNG
madmongo
I'm not sure why you are posting this here in the FNV section if you are asking about the FO3 GECK. FNV and FO3, while very similar, are two different games, and use two different versions of the GECK. You can't use the FO3 GECK to make FNV mods and vice-versa. As far as I am aware, 1.5 is the latest FO3 GECK. The latest FNV GECK is 1.4. Links to both are here: http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=Garden_of_Eden_Creation_Kit What game was your esp originally made for, and what game are you trying to use it with? TheRealNachoNinjaGnome
I was just posting here because MOST modders who work with FNV still work or have worked with FO3. Just trying to get more people to see it to increase my chances of getting a helpful answer. It was made for FO3 and used with FO3 and the FO3 GECK. Thanks for the reply. Mktavish
Not sure what your problem may be ... but it sounds a bit like corruption of the file. And if you have a backup latest version of it , try that. But sometimes you need to use a trick to get it to recognize a back up.Which is to drop the file on your desk top ... rename it there by just removing everything past the " .esp " ...Then put it into the Data folder where the other .esp's are kept. But also you might want to try a right click > Open with > choose default program. On the .esp itself , or link it here in a download to see if someone else can open it. ^shrug^ just a suggestion.
