samv96UK
Also got a couple more general screenshots of the city here too. The main bridge that connects the outskirts and the main city together, along with screens of the market square and a little merchant's tent in a back alley. http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/4286516-1358552059.jpghttp://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/4286516-1358552097.jpghttp://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/4286516-1358552122.jpg
MarmotaMonax
Those street lights do look a little too modern. However, this is fine, since even though Elder Scrolls has always been medieval themed, and will continue to be, cities like the Imperial City in Oblivion had these kinds of lights. inertianinja
http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/4286516-1358542473.jpg New Victorian-Style streetlamp, what are your thoughts? Not sure if it looks a bit too modern? I think in Elder Scrolls, you have three choices: crude lantern or Dwemer or magic. if you want higher tech/light output than the standard lore friendly would be a few salvaged repurposed dwemer parts or something magical, like Magelight. Actually the Imperial City has similar lights so it is lore friendly. As long as there is no light bulb, it is ok. http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110815070358/elderscrolls/images/2/27/Rindir%27s_Staffs.jpg Edited January 19, 2013 by MarmotaMonax
TheGreenLion
It stands reasonable that once in a while someone will invent something interesting like a fancy street lamp. I think it fits the city pretty well myself. More importantly it's unique.

I think a better route would be to make something that looked even a little different...a little bit more out-of-our-common-experience. VRSquared
I think it just makes it look more unique, but i think they should only be used in the richer parts of the mod, as the do look like they're for that sort of area. Because they look nice. But i do think you should try magelight. it'll look good Edited January 19, 2013 by VRSquared

However, this is fine, since even though Elder Scrolls has always been medieval themed, and will continue to be, cities like the Imperial City in Oblivion had these kinds of lights. Indeed, the Imperial city does have similar lamps, so I guess this will be okay. I can't wait until this is released :) Excellent! :) I think in Elder Scrolls, you have three choices: crude lantern or Dwemer or magic. if you want higher tech/light output than the standard lore friendly would be a few salvaged repurposed dwemer parts or something magical, like Magelight. Actually, despite the lamps looking quite high-tech, they are just fancy metal frames with candles in. It stands reasonable that once in a while someone will invent something interesting like a fancy street lamp. I think it fits the city pretty well myself. More importantly it's unique. That's the sort of feel I want to have in the city- uniqueness. I want the player to walk through the city gates for the first time, and be thinking "Wow, I've never seen something like this in Skyrim before..." :) He said it was "Victorian style" which means its from our world. not a major issue, but little things like that don't help immersion. IMO. I think a better route would be to make something that looked even a little different...a little bit more out-of-our-common-experience. When I said 'Victorian Style', I basically meant that I was inspired by Victorian Style street lamps, I wasn't saying that it actually is a Victorian style street lamp. Actually pretty much everything in Rochebere is inspired by some part of British history, the houses are designed to look similar to Tudor architecture and the tower is designed to look like a medieval tower. I think it just makes it look more unique, but i think they should only be used in the richer parts of the mod, as the do look like they're for that sort of area. Because they look nice. But i do think you should try magelight. it'll look good It is likely that I will restrict them to just the richer areas, so don't worry about that, my friend. I don't think I'm going to try magelight though, sorry. Rochebere doesn't frown upon magic as such, but it is not particularly common in the city. samv96UK
A couple of new propaganda posters for the city, one of which uses a texture from a poster in the Witcher 2. Enjoy! http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/1070/imagenjx.jpghttp://img843.imageshack.us/img843/1754/imageiepw.jpg Edited January 20, 2013 by samv96UK
