capella6707
I have three plugins with the "Light" flag. What exactly is that indicating?
Grestorn
Did you hover the mouse over the icon? Then it'll show you a tooltip explaining the meaning of the icon.
capella6707
Did you hover the mouse over the icon? Then it'll show you a tooltip explaining the meaning of the icon. Yup, I did. It says, "Light".
BigBizkit
Hi, You might find this article on our wiki explaining the various icons of interest: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/User_Interface:_Icons The feather icon ("Light" flag) indicates that this plugin is treated as a "light master" by the engine. This mostly affects *.esl files, but can also be the case for *.esp files which have been flagged as "light masters" in their respective file header ("fake ESLs"). Grestorn
Wow  Very informative... (/edit: Talking about the tooltip here!) I've just checked the LOOT documentation. It means the plugin uses a "light master file" (.esl). Which is a simpler variation of a plugin, which only overrides existing records but can't add it's own records. because it doesn't get it's own plugin-index. The advantage is, that because of this, such a "light" plugin also doesn't count for the max number of active plugins.
capella6707
BigBizkit & Grestorn, Thanks, both, for the explanations. And thanks, BigBizkit, for the link - I wasn't aware that there was a wiki for Vortex yet.
BigBizkit
Glad to help. You can find Vortex documentation from within Vortex by clicking on "Support" in the navigation area on the left. Going forward we will be linking the wiki there (right now it is linked to helpscout which has most of the wiki content atm).
