kevkiev
There was a thread like this for FONV, but I haven't seen it here. (Hope I'm not mistaken.) Just a topic to talk about the perhaps weird/ OCD things your char does. My char: - always stop to chat with M'aiq- always stops to chat with a mercenary (althou 99.9% of the time I can't tell if a map marker has been added)- If she goes to buy something from a vendor, even if the vendor doesn't have anything she wants/needs, she always buy something- stops any hunter she sees and buys something off him/her- always stops and goads Thalmor patrols into attacking (to trigger a self-defence slaughter), frees the prisoner but kills him if he says he's going to kill the next Imperial he sees (yeah, I ended up going Imperial in the CW again)- never attacks a non-hostile NPC- always tries to defend rabbits, goats and foxes from hostile animal attacks- always requests at least 1 tune if the inn she's at has a bard - never takes stuff from a shrine, even tho it was sooo tempting at lower levels- whenever I visit Angi, I leave her some high-quality arrows on her shack's table pretty mild stuff, I know  Edited June 30, 2012 by kevkiev
fraquar
......- stops any hunter she sees and buys something off him/her- always stops and goads Thalmor patrols into attacking (to trigger a self-defence slaughter), frees the prisoner but kills him if he says he's going to kill the next Imperial he sees (yeah, I ended up going Imperial in the CW again)....... Pretty much this, except I only buy pelts off hunters and if they don't have any then they get no business from me. For all I know their food is from roadkill........ kevkiev
.... For all I know their [hunter's] food is from roadkill........ yikes... good point :yucky: I suppose I was being a bit selective in my memory regarding my "never kills a non-hostile" comment. Never meaning never except when I played the DB questline. But that was only because my char wanted the coolest horse in skyrim! (Flexible morals or what?!
tetradite
I'm pretty similar to the OP with my current character: - Alway talk to Maiq. Most entertaining NPC in the game. - Never kill other than self-defence. I got really lucky with a couple of the Daedric quests - the Mythic Dawn guy attacked me just because I didn't actively say "no I'm not going to kill you" saved me a moral conundrum. (Ditto goading the Thalmor too). And also: - Never carry more than one suit of heavy armour and won't carry tons of weapons: even if your carry weight allows it, the bulk would be impossible to manage. - Only use equipment I've forged myself or bought from a Smith (excluding the Daedric artefacts I've managed to get without killing non-hostiles). - Always carry a set of "civilian" clothes (usually the Mourner's Clothes, I'm the Johnny Cash of Skyrim) and change into them when entering a town or city. - Don't exhaust Merchant's dialogue trees in one hit so we have something to "chat" about next time in town. - Only use items/potions to fortify barter when I'm dealing with a merchant I personally dislike. - Always get 8 hours sleep, at a reasonable bedtime. If I miss a night or spend a night away from home then it's a 12 hour catch-up sleep when I get home. Similar for eating (balanced) meals, even though I don't have any mods making these things requirements. If I'm out on the road, even if I find a bed e.g at a camp I'll use wait instead of sleep (you shouldn't get a rested bonus for sleeping rough anyway). - Respect giants and give them space. Probably a million other things!
robanybody2000
i will post the quirky things i do with my first and also a main char (because i enjoy most playing with him). It is a level 76 now Khajiit thief/merchant (a fence in popular terms) - always talk to Maiq (yes me too, he's to...knolegeable) - since he is a little overpowerd i have a "no armor" policy for him. (only cloth, usualy extravagant and the most expensive)-like the king's robe...etc - no enchanted jewelery (only gold diamnond stuff) - what can i say, he likes the bling - he is a gem hoarder (tons of flawless gems in proudspire manor's seif) + other thousants in i can't even remember wich container. - visit the TG fences every week and sell them stuff until they all remain out of money (usualy expensive potions) - other free time he spends traveling through cityes prospecting "the market"
Stenkil
My character has killed Imperial nobles and their bodyguards, he goes after Thalmor Justiciars with a vengeance (being an increasingly devout Talos worshiper himself), and will often stop to set up his camp at lumber mills in order to put in a hard day's work cutting up wood for the owners, but none of these activities really qualify as "quirky". He does these things because it only makes sense for him to do so given the kind of person he is, but they are technically unnecessary. As for quirks, perhaps some of these qualify? - Removes his helmet when entering towns or country abodes - Actively eats, drinks, sleeps, reads and prays at various shrines and holy sites (using Puppeteer Master) - Leaves thistles near the bodies of slain named enemies (anyone murdered for personal or political reasons) - Wears blacksmith, miner or fine clothes when smithing, working in the mines, or out on trade runs - Uses the sauna in the Riverside Lodge a bit too often for his own good Edited June 22, 2012 by Stenkil
fraquar
Always by an Ale from any Innkeeper.Always give a drunk a septim - water probably would kill him.Always give the guards a hand killing rogue thieves in Riften - dumbasses.Always steal every bottle of Honningbrew Mead left before it becomes Black-Briar West - even if it means 2-3 trips home.
