RobinHood2005
Hey guys, it's me again. I have a small query. When I installed Fallout New Vegas, I tried to mod it and something must have happened because I kept on getting a launcher error. Something like 'Application load error 5:0000065434', I believe. I fixed it by adding a Steam .exe file to the game folder, but whenever Steam updates, all of the files that are normally in the Steam install folder copy into the New Vegas folder, and Steam is no longer able to recognise the game. A solution to this would probably be to remove the .exe after each gaming session and checking for Steam updates, but are there any other alternatives? HadToRegister
I fixed it by adding a Steam .exe file to the game folder, What? Can you be more specific?IS this a Steam version of Fallout New Vegas you have installed? If so, what exactly is the "Steam .exe file" you're adding to the folder? I installed the game off of Steam, because it was on sale for a low price. The executable file that I mentioned is called 'Steam.exe', the file that you use to start the Steam application. Not sure why putting steam.exe in the FONV folder would make the game run. Anyway, I've got FONV up and running on my computer, however, I launch it with the NVSE_Loader.exe (script extender for mods)Now, were you able to run the launcher BEFORE you tried to mod FONV? If so, I'm wondering if you may have run a 4gb patch on the launcher instead of the Falloutnv.exe BTW, I hope you spent a little extra and got Fallout News Vegas ULTIMATE,. with all the DLC.The DLC for New Vegas is my favorite part

I was able to activate them before, as far as I am concerned. Oh, and I bought the Ultimate version :)
