senor6venezuela
Basically when I run Fallout 3 through FOSE my fps only goes up to 30-31 max. When I run the game through steam or through the direct exe (without FOSE) it doubles to 60. Any ideas, suggestions? My computer is relatively new, 6GB RAM, 2.1 Ghz Quad-Core processor. I bought an overclocked dedicated graphics card so I could play this without any blips since it is my favorite game, and I wanted to finally play it heavily modified, but I can't use it with mods such as EVE, and the UI utilities because those require FOSE and using it brings down my fps for some weird reason. I'm not the saviest with computers, but I'm pretty sure FOSE is the root of the problem. Help?? Please...
M48A5
FOSE is not the root of your problem, it is your cpu. According to the game publishers, a cpu of 2.4 GHz minimum is required to run the game properly.

BlackRampage
Did you really think a quadcore processor wouldn't be able to run a game that came out before one could even buy a quadcore processor? Come on. Sure, it will only be able to run on 2 of it's cores instead of all 4, but still. Here's what you could try: Download Fallout Stutter Remover Unzip the downloaded file, open up its folders and find this file: "sr_Fallout_Stutter_Remover.ini" Open it with wordpad or something similar, then look up the "FPS_Management" part. In there you can edit your max fps, minimum fps, et cetera. Don't forget to install the entire mod after editing the .ini Edit: Before I forget: If you have a multi-core CPU, like the Quad, and you experience a Fallout 3 crash when loading interiors (Specially in closed spaces): - Open the folder My documents / My Games / Fallout3 - Edit the file FALLOUT.ini. - Inside FALLOUT.ini look for a group called [general]. - Inside the general group, after all the configuration parameters, just copy and paste the following 2 lines: bUseThreadedAI=1iNumHWThreads=2 Now close and save the Fallout 3 configuration file.
