teamplayerguy
Ok, I've never had this much trouble before, and its erratic, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've tried all the usual tricks, setting Fallout4Custom.ini to read only, deleting Default.ini from \Steamapps\Common\Fallout4, setting the same FOV values in all three \Documents INI files, setting all three files to read only, I've even tried assigning profile specific configuration settings within Vortex as I figured Vortex was the cause of this problem. NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK!!! Sometimes it will work, after a lot of prodding the FOV seems to stick for a time, but it always reverts back to the default 70 or 80, and that in and of itself is strange, why would it sometimes revert to 70 and sometimes to 80. Beyond that fact, those values aren't in any of the INI files anymore, they're not in the \Documents \Common or default.ini files. Console command refreshini also has no effect... MOST OF THE TIME. Its so erratic and unpredictable that I'm at my wits end here, I can't determine any repeatable reason why this is happening. I'm running FO4 through F4SE, I've got the Subtle ENB with v0307, and I've got the most recent version of Vortex. Any help is appreciated.
Deleted58783396User
download this program and do it via that program: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102 maybe that will help. i have always used that program for specfic tweaks, and it has worked flawlessly
teamplayerguy
HOLY CRAP I'M A TOTAL IDIOT. As with most things that don't make sense in life, it was a simple mistake that I never thought I'd make. And this tool helped me fix my errors. This whole time I had i (iDefaultWorldFOV) before the FOV settings, when it was supposed to be an f (fDefaultWorldFOV). I can't believe how silly this problem was. Thanks for the tool m8, I'm embarrassed :D
