BringOnTheNuke Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Basically what it says on the tin- playing Fallout New Vegas and I've managed to download mods from Nexus well enough, but when I install them it gets to 99% extraction on the mod, crashes, and then when it restarts again its constantly stuck on the 99% and won't install the mod. Any ideas?

A couple of questions that may help us solve the issue: Does this happen for every FNV mod? Could you give us a link to the mods you are trying to install? Have you tried Vortex with another game? BringOnTheNuke Posted October 22, 2018 Author Posted October 22, 2018 Yes, it's happening for any mod I'm attempting. I've just tested it with Dragon Age Origin mods and it also crashes when I try to extract mods for that and has the same issue.
Staff BigBizkit Posted October 22, 2018 Staff Posted October 22, 2018 When it crashes, what does the crash look like? Does Vortex stop responding? White screen? Does it simply close? Any information you can provide would be useful.
BringOnTheNuke Posted October 22, 2018 Author Posted October 22, 2018 It does a blank white screen, stays like that for a few seconds and then goes back to normal with the 'Vortex restarted after a crash, sorry about that' message along with the blue extraction message staying at 99%

BringOnTheNuke Posted October 23, 2018 Author Posted October 23, 2018 @PickySaurus, I'm using Avast and I disabled it and tried to install a mod and it crashed. I checked my queue and I had downloaded this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/65759 along side the other one, maybe its conflicting since it uses the Script Expander? @PedgeJ, yeah the message looks like that- the 'Vortex crashed' ones and the 'Extracting' message. No exception ones tho I tried uninstalling Vortex and it didn't fix it. Is there a way to scrub out all info on Vortex and all the mods? Maybe like...idk, a hard reset on it will work, I'm not overly concerned about losing the mods at this point but I'm unsure how to delete all of it
