Are you suggesting your PC is lacking memory? Yes with the right mods Skyrim will eat lots of RAM. That sort of answers your own question. Yes more ram will reduce some of the crashes as long as its really an upgrade in RAM capacity.

 

What are the specs of your PC?

Have you run LOOT?

Which MOD Manager are you using? NMM, Vortex or Mod Organizer?

Have you cleaned your master files?

Are you using and ENB or ENBoost?

Is your ENBlocal.INI configured correctly for your PC?

Is SKSE installed correctly?

If you think its a book issue I'd take a look at the mods in your load order that deal with books, reading.

 

Try disable them and create a new test character to figure that out. It could be load order. It may be many many things but without more details on your PC, the method of modding not much anybody can do to help you fix it.
