blitzen
This happens to me a lot. Try to save indoors. I use a portable tent mod that has it's own cell so I can save inside. At least half of my saves that are made while outside won't load. They get to 80% of the loading indicator, and the sound starts, but it never finishes loading. Georgiegril
Did you try kievkev's solution and raise your fps if you have it limited? I find 35 fps works like a charm, but at 30fps my load times are 3-4 minutes.
xlcr
@Supergamerzayat, please don't take this the wrong way; but, yes, Skyrim has bugs, but you're probably running mods that the game doesn't like causing most of the glitches. Have you tried troubleshooting all your installed mods yet?Post the contents of your DLCList.txt here (search for this in your systemdrive). Disable the auto saves and then the load screen will be faster.
Relativelybest
This happened to me once, because my latest save was bugged somehow. I fixed it by removing the last save and restarting from an earlier one, though it set me back a couple of levels. This is why you should make new save files on a regular basis. Apparently, something about the save system makes the last save affect the earlier ones, so if the latest save fails to load so will the rest, but that doesn't mean all saves are broken. This is more from experience with FONV rather than Skyrim, but may apply: I've sometimes been able to get around this by reloading the older save first, then immediately loading the newer 'broken' save (without doing anything or exiting game etc). Then resave in a new slot and delete the 'broken' save. Hope that makes sense. In Skyrim this method has also managed to "restore" the weapon rack in Breezehome for me that sometimes did a vanishing act. I can't claim to understand how or why this worked, and it didn't work all the time, but might be worth a quick try if you've got lost hours of gameplay and levelling at stake. I also have been getting many times where I cannot load my current save - it hangs and never finishes loading. If I load an earlier save, like a really really old save, so I can get into the game, all I do is then load my real save and it works just fine. I don't need to save in a new slot or delete the "broken" save, but that sounds like a good idea.

Yeah bang on, I just do the delete and resave to "get rid of the corrupt data" (in ""s because that's just what I call it, not saying this is what it does, y'know)
