TripleSeven
Apologies if the answer's rather obvious, as I'm not overly familiar with the intricacies of the GECK. Anyhow, long story short, I'm running Mission Mojave, JE Sawyer's patch, and moburma's Vegas Uncut mods (excluding the pack brahmin and original intro) along with some minor mods, and I've come across an item I've never seen before; a shovel called Grave Sin located where the Courier was buried. It doesn't seem to be mentioned in any of my mods' documentation, and I can't seem to find anything in the Geck that specifies from what mod an item originates. I've gone through and disabled literally everything save for the base game to try and identify the source, but the item remains in my inventory. Shouldn't it vanish if the corresponding mod is removed? Does anyone know what mod adds this, or how one can determine its origin? Nihilisaurus
I think the weapon itself exists in the base game, but was not placed anywhere. I found it too, and out of those three I only run mission Mojave.
TripleSeven
Did the whole 'process of elimination' thing in the GECK and found that it is implemented by Mission Mojave (and then saw the above post. Heh). Without Mission Mojave it's flagged as "dlc04shovel". Seems a bit odd, my understanding of MM was that it was designed to be a bugfix, not a cut content restorer. Now I realize that, in fixing certain errors, certain content is bound to be restored. but this seems to be a different case. Anyone know if we were originally supposed to get the shovel that buried the Courier (which still would make this more of a restore than a fix), or is this just a little easter egg added in by the MM team? Gribbleshnibit8
Mission Creep. :whistling:Yep. MM certainly did got a bit beyond just a bug fix. Another way to determine where an item originates, for future issues or questions you might have. If you have NVSE installed, you can drop the item on the ground, open the console, and click on the item you dropped so that you get an ID number at the top of the screen. Now type gbo into the console and hit enter. It will return the load order correct formID of the base item that object comes from. Then it's just a matter of checking in FOMM for that number next to a mod (or FNVEdit, once you load your entire load order in it) to know where it comes from. iyumichan
just a small note. That thing is gone by now. It was orginally a replacment for a bugged shovel if anyone is wondering why it ended up there.
