greenbriggs9
Guys,Just a quick heads up on the new Vortex. Its absolutely fantastic and so much easier than the old NMM.Its now a pleasure to install mods because Vortex has made it a breeze.I have even taken all the mods off creation club and re downloaded them with vortex. Just one question ? I want to remove the Truestorms plugins from my list as I now use vivid weathers, but cant find an option to permanently remove the greyed out plugins. Kind Regards,Hady
Grestorn
Greyed out? A mod can be enabled, installed or uninstalled. You can click the drop down button on the right and select "Remove" to uninstall it. If you also check the "remove archive" checkbutton in the dialog, it will be completely removed. Guest deleted34304850
when you say the plugin is greyed out - do you mean it has a status of disabled on the plugins tab?if that is the case, then you need to go to your mods tab, find the corresponding mod(s) for the plugin, and uninstall them, then you can select remove, and from the remove option, you can remove the mod and its archive if you want to do that and that will fully remove the mod from your system. Grestorn
Plugins listed under "Plugins" which don't belong to a mod (which you can easily see by enabling the column "Mod" using the gear icon on the top right) were installed manually, outside of Vortex. They're in your Data directory, but Vortex didn't put them there.
sopmac45
The other situation when you see a plugin greyed out without a visible mod is when you create a custom mod via XEdit. As soon as you finish creating your own custom mod, Vortex will place it in the Plugin Section and it will be greyed out, meaning that you must click on the drop arrow and choose Install and it will turn green. Hit the Sort tab after that and Vortex will put it in the right place. To remove this "custom mod" ( shown as plugin ), you need to do what Grestorn did advise you. Go to : C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Fallout4\Data\ ... find your "custom mod", right click on it and delete it, and it will be gone from Vortex. After that, you do not have to Sort your list again, simple like that. Beautiful, isn't ?
Grestorn
True, I forgot that, thanks sopmac45! I usually put self-made plugins into a mod of myself (just put them all together in a zip file and add that as a mod to Vortex is sufficient). This way, they're kept save and can be dealt with normally.
