Nicholax70
I recently found and downloaded a Skyrim mod, warfinalsword, with an amazing looking sword that I wanted in the game. The problem is, this person did not know how to pack a Zip file, forcing most of the downloaders to find and place the files themselves. Problem #2 is the item in-game is actually called, "warfinalsword." Just like that. "warfinalsword." It's driving me up a wall. I'm looking for a way to rename the actual item in the database so I don't have to look at "warfinalsword." Is this possible? There are also plenty of other mods I have downloaded that I would love to rename the items, for organization and easier finding.

Nicholax70
Instructions please? Thanks. :teehee: Edit: and I'm not talking about enchanting an item to rename it, either. I'm speaking of the actual item in the database. So that when I open the console, I can search (help "Final Sword") or something like that to find it. Dhegonus
open skyrim creation kit, go to file --> Data then go ahead and tick the skyrim.esm tickbox, then do the same for the mod you wish to alter, then with the selected mod selected, click on "make active file" this just means that the selected is the mod is where any potential saves and edits are going to be stored etc.. THEN... in the object window typically to the left side of the screen, scroll down to the items category, then open it up, then find the weapon category.. then in the box to the right a whole list of weapon names will appear.. find the one you re looking for by sifting through or by using the name of the sword in the search filter in the object window list. then right click on the weapon, then click edit.. then a screen shall pop up with details of that weapon, locate the "Name" box and change the name accordingly.. do NOT touch the ID box. then press ok or cntrl+shift+shft then enter.. then file ->> save i best get a kudos for this P hehe Edited June 26, 2012 by Dhegonus
