sinnerman69
I really didn't explore the games menus and only learned about it's level setting's after reading a thread here about it!.. :wallbash: :whistling:
Georgiegril
No worries, you can change it whenever, even mid-battle.
jesusismyairbag
i done this, but with oblivion, i wasnt really owning though, i found it because i wanted to find out if there was a lesser difficulty. hahahaha
tetradite
I have a much, much worse one than that. You know the whole unlocking shouts/dragon souls thing? Well. I spent the first month (maybe two) of owning and playing the game, not realising or noticing the "spend dragon soul" option in the shouts menu. Killing more and more dragons in increasing bewilderment as to why I wasn't unlocking any of the words of power I'd learned. Numpty that I am. Tidus44
Not even close to the worst. Saw a post where the OP could not figure out where the M1 and M2 keys were on his keyboard.

Would have been nice of Beth to mention that mechanic in the manual, or on a load screen, or something.
sinnerman69
Some games I've bought in the past had no difficulty setting's and I figured skyrim was like that!.. Edited June 27, 2012 by sinnerman69

Oh my sweet bejeebus, that is BAD. I'm not even sure my gran would do that. I have a much, much worse one than that. You know the whole unlocking shouts/dragon souls thing? Well. So hugely glad it wasn't just me.
Georgiegril
My confession: after over 1000 hours of play, several play throughs, I'm killing spiders with my soul-eating dagger, lamenting as usual that their puny little souls are taking up the nice fat grand soul gems I just acquired. Then, it hits me....I can just change swords! Cause I have three I always carry with me..... No joke. Proof that attachment is the cause of suffering. Let the public ridicule begin.
tetradite
I love how this has turned into a stupidity confessional thread... as they say, the problem with common sense is that it isn;t all that common ;) My confession: after over 1000 hours of play, several play throughs, I'm killing spiders with my soul-eating dagger, lamenting as usual that their puny little souls are taking up the nice fat grand soul gems I just acquired. Then, it hits me....I can just change swords! Cause I have three I always carry with me..... No joke. Proof that attachment is the cause of suffering. Let the public ridicule begin. I dual wield with a dagger/sword combo, with the dagger enchanted as a 1 second soul trap, that way I can just pick which weapon to deal the final blow with depending on if I want the soul or not. Provided I can resist the lure of finishing them with a dual power attack, which is rarely :)
