NovaZek
I got a little problem (not game/application breaking, but pesky) while allocating respective mods to the respective games.I did a whole new install of my mod collection, since most of them which I used required F4SE, which does not work with VR (sadly). So ... whenever I download things, which btw. works as usual, the installer keeps asking me to choose the corresponding game for the given mod.Well ... Fallout 4 VR Game- and general Profile are active, and yet it seems like Vortex does not really know how to add Fallout 4 mods to the Fallout 4 VR complexity ... Is there a manual fix for this extra-delaying-step or will someone from the developer team address this issue and fix it?
Tannin42
I don't really understand the problem. You say you are asked to choose the game to install for, I guess your options are "Fallout 4" and "Fallout 4 VR". So you pick FO4VR. What's the problem? This is not an issue as far as we're concerned. The mod is hosted as a "Fallout 4" mod, we're not going to install a mod for a different game without at least asking the user. The situation with SkyrimSE vs SkyrimVR and Fallout4 vs Fallout4VR is unfortunate but can't be helped. In every other case (e.g. Dragon Age mod being installed while Factorio is being managed) you'll be glad Vortex asked. Grestorn
If you don't have any other Fallout 4 game installed, Vortex still asks you each time if you want to install a mod for FO4 VR, which is actually pretty superfluous. But for me that's onky a minor thing. Still, an option that would skip that dialog, so that a mod is always installed for the currently active game would be an improvement. Tannin42
Well, even if you have only FO4VR installed, a warning that you install a mod that was built for a different game is appropriate imho. Take it as a reminder that not every FO4 is necessarily compatible with FO4VR.

Take it as a reminder that not every FO4 is necessarily compatible with FO4VR. Sure, but that notification just keeps annoying after someone's 50th mod, tbh.I am here for quite a long time, I know how to program games. The overall structures and classes of Fallout 4 and Fallout 4 VR are almost the same. Most of the offsets are matching regarding executable sections about code (caching textures, particles, etc), engine and others are quite similar. I randomly picked those mods which I used back in 2015 and 2016, and none of them are crashing due to not using F4SE. BTG/Nexus needs to either switch off that option or give us a toggle-option about warnings either in that profile or globally. If Vortex has been written in C#, I could even offer a snippet for it.
