STuRoK83
I did an OS reinstall a while back and hadn't played any games in a while. I downloaded this new Vortex since I couldn't find NMM, and I transferred my mods from mod folder into the Vortex drop box. I've updated and re-downloaded whatever needed or didn't transfer over. As I installed each mod, several gave me the plugin customization screens, but many did not. Even when I uninstall and reinstall, I'm still not getting the customization screen for some, and it tells me with a notification that there are plugins and gives me only 2 options: Enable all, or dismiss. Well, that's a problem because it is supposed to be customized. I'm supposed to choose the plugins to enable, not ALL of them! Not only does that defeat the purpose of the customize screen, but it will create tons of conflicts. You can't have all the plugins enabled! I have to choose one of the options from each category.. How do I get the customize screen to come up? Thanks for any help
Grestorn
Not all mods have a customize dialog, in fact, most don't. So that's pretty normal. To enable or disable plugins, you can check the "Plugins" tab. If a mod comes with plugins (i.e. .esp files), they usually get enabled automatically. Only if there's more than one plugin in a single mod, Vortex will ask you if you want to enable all of them. Just make sure that the plugins are all enabled on the Plugin tab. STuRoK83
I can't seem to change the load order in the plugins tab.. is there a way?thanks for the reply
Grestorn
You should leave it as it is. It's auto sorted using LOOT. There's rarely any need to change it. Don't heed the "put my mod at the bottom of the load order" instructions on the mod's description, that's bullshit. If you really need to change the load order and know exactly what you're doing, you can assign 'groups' to plugins which will affect their general placing. You could also create a rule, if you want to make sure that plugin a is loaded before plugin b. But please don't do this arbitrarily, there has to be a REAL reason for that. And I'd love to know that reason, too :)
sopmac45
"" Don't heed the "put my mod at the bottom of the load order" instructions on the mod's description, that's bulls***. """" >>> That statement is a fact as the sun is lighting up earth every day. Vortex will make that decision for you and just trust it.
