LHammonds
Here is a ship model created by jedswindells. His permissions allow anyone to use this as long as it is not sold and he is credited. So here it is, up for grabs. I converted it into Blender format. There are no UV maps and no textures. It is a little over 104,000 verts.

Vagrant0
woow..thats the kind of thing oblivion need.. great work jedswindells..Yes, however probably won't work out too well. 104,000 verts is about 2-3 times as many as even a fairly high poly static should use. And that's counting the collision model as well. The model would need to be simplified quite a bit to be usable in Oblivion, and depending on how the deck is laid out, may not be compatable with any of the existing boat parts (like doors, or interior). A good model, but not suited for use in Oblivion, and would require alot of work getting it to that point. Any chance in releasing it as a 3ds, or something which can be imported by something other than blender... Although it's probably alot of work, I might be tempted to try and see what I can do with it.
LHammonds
The included readme has a link to the original download location. All of which I believe are OBJ files. If you use 3ds max, it might be wise to install Blender for a couple of reasons: 1. Free utility to convert file formats2. NIF Scripts allow you to create custom collisions (much better than max at the moment) And yes, these would be quite a bit of work getting into Oblivion but if not for anything else, they would make for a great reference model. I added the notes about vertex counts, lack of UVs and textures which is usually a sign to modelers that it will only be handy as a reference model...but like I said, references don't get much better than this. ;) I am no artist by any stretch of the imagination but I find it fairly easy to mimic something that already exists. I'm sure many other people do as well. :D LHammonds
Skolhamarr
I would love to more ship, but think they should meet the area that they are in. Coastal, yes let see these big nice ships to give it that feeling. Like Anvil, major port, but lacks the ships to make the difference. In an around the IC to me should be treated more like inland harbor smaller ship, build for trade.... Grain ships, ore powered ship, cogs, longboats. ect... Seem also most you need Naval station also on the coast, or IC coast gaurd. I know have seen some picture flowing around tes with Triremes in them... There was ship made for the Roman Emperor Caligula, it has huge more a floating villa. Why wouldnt the Emperors have the same in Oblivion. Lake Nemi ship, i believe what it is list on web as.
