The future of the Fallout 4 scene.

Fallout 4 doesn't have as many good systems as NV/FO3, which is why there's a smaller modding scene with less content being created.

Just hope starfield doesn't continue to remove RPG elements, I'm worried it won't even have on-foot travelling.

This.

Seeing the way the F76 game play mechanic and dynamics have turned out so far, my fear is that Starfield will be exactly like Elite Dangerous. Where your interactions with NPCs in the world in limited to a series of dry, complex menus in your spacecraft HUD. Because your character is an apparent paraplegic, and so NEVER gets out of their pilot's seat.....

One thing that would help the modding scene is for the community to decide the maximum version of the game to support. Meaning no more updating the game to it's latest version. Pick a final Mod version of the game and stick to it. There is no reason for everyone to waste time updating their mods just so they are compatible with the Creation Club junk content. F4SE would no longer need to be updated...Mods would stop breaking and time spent updating can be spent creating more mods or adding features to current mods.

This would have the added bonus of hurting Bleh-thesda CC sales.. a nice little FU to them.

Or we could all come together as a community and actually learn how to disable automatic updates on steam and learn how to roll back your exe without ten millions posts to that effect? Since you are asking for the impossible, I may as well offer the improbable.

Or we could do what professional developers do and not mess around with platform binaries or APIs that were not designed to be messed with to avoid all of the compatibility nonsense in the first place.

I mention it as that's what I do for a sweet zero compatibility problem update experience.
