just bought FO4 and no mod is working

as the title says, i haven't gotten any mod to work in fallout 4, every mod was downloaded through nexus and installed through vortex, after i freshly installed the game i didn't even play the base game since o already played it on PS4 so i went ahead and got some mods and enabled them and when i started fallout 4 F4SE.. nothing worked, the game ran perfectly but no mod was active.hope u guys can help. BTW i'm REALLY NEW to modding so go easy on me.

You probably didn't adapt the game's .ini file to accept mods (not the prefs or custom, just the plain Fallout4.ini. The file is lolcated in Documents/My Games/Fallout4 and needs the following lines added to it under [Archive]:

 

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

sResourceDataDirsFinal=

The file can be opened with Notepad, but I suggest Notepad++. Save the file and you should be good to go.
