Don't be so Thankless, be proud of where you live, even if an ACME monkey is your president :whistling: . active people here are decent and friendly (mostly), and what you write is important, not where you live. and I live in the same place, therefore I don't understand your predicament.

Where you live is not who you are, be proud of who you are, not geographical accidents of birth.

 

If you live somewhere you like, be grateful for it (or not), appreciate it's good bits, do what you can (if you can) to change it's bad.

 

To me pride is personal, not national. Nations are artificial constructs. So are races.

Geographically, it's closer to the Eastern Europe(were neighbours of the Russia) but culturally/economically/politically were closer to the Western Europe.

 

As a side note, I'd recommend not to say Finland is in Eastern Europe. Most Finnish people would get pretty mad, mostly because of past.
