Ethreon
There's no official modding tool for this game, thus nobody can point you anywhere. You'd have to keep using the hacked way you found until they do release anything.

Shrank932
Hey Sultracow! It is completely possible to mod sound files right now, however it is only possible to replace them at the moment due to server sync. So radio mods specifically, will require you to match the length of each track you want to replace. Check out the new more where that came from mod for 76, the creator had to spend hours syncing up tracks and even adding a dj voice over to help solve dead air between songs so that it would work. Weapon sounds and things like that though are extremely easy and doable right now. You just need fallout 4 on pc because you need access to a tool that comes with it. Download a weapon sound mod for a fallout 4 for example, extract the sounds01.ba2(or sounds02.ba2 I forgot which) from fallout 76 using bethesda archive extractor found here on nexus. Now you will be able to locate the weapon you want to replace the sound for in that extracted archive. What you want to do is copy the name of the sound that already exists, and paste that name onto your new song you want to add. Now that your new song has that name, drag it into the folder to replace the original. Now, open up your archive2 tool ( included with fallout 4) go to archive at the top and go to settings, for compression choose "none" instead of "default" drag the whole folder structure that has your new sound over into the archive2 tool window, give it a sec to process, then click save as, name it whatever you like. Now you have a new .ba2 file in your fallout 76 data directory, this contains your new sound that will overwrite the existing sound with that name. All you have to do now is open fallout76custom.ini as well as fallout76.ini and under the [Archive] section, type the name of the .ba2 file you just made. For example NewSound.ba2 save both inis, load up the game and test it out :). Ps you don't need to repackage the entire sounds.ba2 archive, just the folder structure that deals with the weapon you are replacing the sound for. For example, sounds/fx/wpn/pistolfortyfour/wpn_pistolfortyfour.wav Also I am new to modding too and I hope that made sense (I'm writing this at 4am) lol. Anyways I'm gonna be making video tutorials on these types of things to better explain for everyone interested. Any questions or information you discover please do reach out :)
