Markus, I don't know if your post was directed at me, but I was posting about the glitches to talk about the problem with the base game itself mentioned by aufisch, and I don't use F4SE. I totally forgot that the thread is about the F4SE rather than the issues in the Fallout4.exe update. It was my mistake to keep posting in this thread, sorry about that.

No worries. I realize LOTS of people are having problems since the update(s), and since I was able to (luckily) resolve mine, I am just trying to give people some direction via the processes I used to get to that point.

Anybody having problems getting the game to run with F4SE? I have "f4se_0_06_15" installed but I get the CTD without even getting to the loading screen. Wonder if it's my setup or the F4SE guys have to catch up. I haven't played F4 in weeks.

'Something' (I still haven't pin-pointed it, and I truly think its a number of things not 'shaking hands' correctly when you update everything) isn't saving files correctly, and the game thinks those files are missing (they're really just saved in the wrong place), so it doesn't start. In another thread someone solved this by finding where his game was saving the mod load order. For me, it was that my plugins folder (in F4SE) was completely empty, and I had to go through the mods manually, find all the ones with F4SE folders of their own, and paste that stuff in. Its a little different for each person... and a PitA.

 

If you are running F4SE, one good thing - on your 'C' drive that app keeps logs - check the logs and see what files its having a hard time finding. That helped me. Good luck.
